A follow up to The Keeper, I actually enjoyed it more. Paul Faustino is still in San Juan writing his book on El Gato when Deportivo star Brujito disappears, possibly kidnapped.

I found the supernatural elements more believeable here than inThe Keeper. The suspense and time-shifting held my interest. I hope Peet writes more Gaudino books.

This is not as much of a sports story as The Keeper. Don't read it if you want a soccer book - it isn't. The game is just mentioned as a backdrop.
