In John Sandford's Eyes of prey ,Detective Lucas Davenport must track two killers who are working together. One of the killers is a drug crazed maniac who's day job is a medical doctor. This handsome but drug addicted psychopath studies death and dying . The other is a stone cold killer who was horribly disfigured in a childhood tragedy . The doctor insists on removing the eyes of the victims because he thinks they will come back to haunt him. Of course his drug addiction really fuels the fire and he soon becomes obsessed with the eyes of his prey .
Because of the deadly doctors drug habit ,one mistake after another is made until the pair have just to many people to kill and not enough time . This is a really fast paced novel with memorable characters and great action.
