Remarkable disguised from the outside as a coherent novel, this actually seems to be a collection of interconnected stories plus two (?) novellas. Also, this is the second-to-last English-language book remaining in my possession.

Bummer. Lowest score I've ever given one of these. The short stories at the beginning kind of killed it for me. They were interesting, but a little too...Mary Sue-ish? They didn't seem to fit the tone of the 1632 series. Also, Brillo, while amusing, was a little too silly and odd for my tastes.

ETA: Left it in Japan. :D
