** spoiler alert ** This is one of my favorite books By Tess Gerritsen . I love all her books but this one blends murder with the occult.
Detective Jane Rizzoli must track a killer who is leaving occult symbols by his victims bodies and sometimes on them . Women are turning up dead in really horrible ways. Than when a new police officer is found dead outside the home of one of the founders of the Mephisto club Jane must look into the occult as a motive . Jane finds out that this Mephisto Club and its members truly believe that some evil people are really demons and these demons are out to destroy their efforts to bring them to justice. The Mephisto club is connected with many rich and influential people and the members start to insinuate themselves into the investigation . Than as members of the Mephisto club start turning up dead Jane's Friend and college Dr Maura Isles maybe next in line because a killer thinks she is part of that group .
