I won this book through the First Reads Giveaway.

This is a book about a woman in 1896 whose aging father has had a heart attack and she drops everything in her life to go to his side. While there she has mixed feelings about the pastor that has replaced her father at the pulpit.

This is an endearing Christian romance novel - very well written and full of characters you can relate to. This book is very straight forward, with a few twists that aren't completely unexpected. Betsy's Return is a fast read and worth spending a couple of hours on. While it is a great book, there's nothing cutting edge or gripping about it. It's just a simple love story with a simple story line.
