It's the autobiography of a sixty year old man who never matured past fifteen. How could you not want to read that? It's half stories about his work as a therapist and how it influenced the novels he wrote, and half hilarious stories about growing up, like the time his brother talked him into peeing into the heat register, or the time his brother shot him in the head with a BB gun, or the time he failed at camping as a Boy Scout and the scout leader took him home, asked his mother if she remembered how she wished her second child had been a girl, and told her, "well, he is."
