This isn't as good as the Percy Jackson series, but it holds it's own. The book was a little too drawn out, but overall it was a great read.

Sadie and Carter Kane are great lead characters and the supporting characters are solid. We learn a lot about Egyptian history and beliefs, action is around every corner and laughs are plenty throughout. A couple of nods to Percy and crew are made throughout as well.

Overall I'm excited to see what else Riordan has in store for Sadie and Carter, I just wish this one had been a tad bit shorter of an introduction.
