Davina may have royal blood flowing through her veins but it is the nuns of St. Christopher's abbey that she calls family. The abbey is attacked by those who hate the current king. For some reason, Davina's life is spared by a highlander, Robert.

Robert's plan was to get Davina to safety but he soon realizes that it will be a very difficult task. He is enamored by Davina and her inner strength. When saving Davina puts Robert's life in danger, he steps up to the plate and realizes that he is more interested in saving her than receiving the approval of his clan.

Davina is such a sweet character, trusting and loyal even when she probably shouldn't be. Robert is the kind of man that every woman wants. He's sexy, intelligent and not afraid to show his true feelings. These two were meant to be together.
