There really aren't enough stars for this book. My dear Cassidy sent me his copy with little notes added in. Written in the mid 90's, It takes place in SanFrancisco in 2048.

The community is an oasis of peaceful cooperative living, in a country where water is more valuable than gold, communication has completely broken down, and the totalitarian government is funded by the Corporation and cooperates fully with the ultraconservative post-Christian Millenialists.
It will change how you think about resources, conflict, and perhaps even relationships.

Definitely for an adult audience, it is full of sex AND violence, but also love and spirit.

I shall keep this one in my heart for a very long time.
