I kind liked this book, and I felt sorry for Rocky, with her husband dying and all, that must have been quite a shock to the system. I don't know how I would have dealt with it, though when she threw his ashes into that oil, that was kind of gross to me, I mean people eat food from that thing. I think the book could have done without that, or done something different. Anyways, I also didn't like how she just kind of snapped, cutting off her hair, and moving away, though again I couldn't imagine how that feels to lose someone like that. I was happy though that she found Lloyd, it seemed like he can into her life at a good time.

I felt sorry for her when Cooper was taken from her, but to go nuts and run to the house and break in just to get him back. I mean he wasn't her dog, not really, and I was happy though it worked out in the end that Liz'a parents brought him back. It was a bit of a shock to find out that Peter was the one who caused Cooper to be shot with the arrow, and to cause Liz's suicide, telling her she killed her dog. Why would anyone be so jealous of a person's relationship with a pet? I was glad when Rocky (what was that short for anyway?) got him in the end, and I was also kind of glad to see her developing a relationship with her instructor (can't remember his name at the moment), didn't her and her husband discuss what would happen to the spouse that was left behind in case one of them died? I guess not, all in all, the book was ok...
