An enjoyable read - a memoir that fully examines the author's own past and current psychological state, not acting as an expert, but as a genuine search for knowledge, and brutally honest in the telling. In fact, this feels like a more honest version of "A Million Little Pieces" (although time will tell). I felt like there was just the right blend of internal musing and assessment, broken up by interesting and sometimes depressing anecdotes of the author's job as a dominatrix, drug addiction, and past failed relationships.

Brandy recommended this to me, and she was right, it was a page-turner. She was also right when she said that I would get a full dose of dominatrix TMI, including many things that are not necessarily "sexy" and that I wish I didn't know - this is all part of the honest look that the author wants to provide, both about her own life and about this hidden world.
