Once again, Brandon Sanderson proves that he can come up with a unique system of magic and make it hang together, coupling it with a fascinating story. The book had twists that I didn't foresee -- always a pleasure -- characters that were complex and dynamic, and a world with a rich history, of which the reader only gets to see the edges.

Masterful storytelling. I docked it a star because he forgot to finish the book. He alludes to the final resolution, but he didn't bother to write it. Very irritating. But it's still a good book.

And Lightsong is the most amazingly funny character...
