Mary, Mary

A serial killer is stalking, murdering, and mutilating some major Hollywood movers and shakers. One of the victims happened to be a personal friend of the nation's president. This friendship brings in immediate FBI involvement and they call on their best person for the job; Alex Cross.
Between potential romances, family issues, red tape, and a massing body count, Dr. Cross races with time to solve the mystery.
I enjoyed the mystery. It kept me guessing until it was finally revealed who the killer was. I'm no Sherlock Holmes though so others might have caught on more quickly than me.
I found the concept of women around every corner throwing themselves into the lead man's arms a bit overdone. Come on now. 3-4 women in one novel? What is he? James Bond or something?
Otherwise, I did enjoy it and definitely plan to read more James Patterson.
