3 1/2 Stars!!
Although as I play Albinoni's Adagio in the background as I type this, part of me really wants to change it to a full 5 stars, but I can't. Steven Galloway has an amazing writing ability to capture the strength of the human heart. For me I do not enjoy reading or watching anything related to war! Call me ignorant, for I turn a blind eye to war and yet it is happening everyday all around us in some form or another in our beautiful scarred up universe!
As I listen to the music I understand more why the Cellist of Sarajevo played his cello for 22 days, not to let the dead die and be forgotten.
It is no fault to the author for me not giving a higher ranking,I just would not allow myself to bond with the three characters, for it makes me sad inside knowing these things are really happening. I don't want to ignore the fact that war is around us, it just effects all differntly, for me it causes major anxiety which makes it harder for me to delve into the book.Maybe for that I should give it 5 stars for that maybe what the author intends the reader to feel!!
Follow Arrow,Dragan and Kenan into a horrble place and see if their is life still in them and in you!
