Just when you think Jacky and Jaime are finally going to get their happy ending, the British kidnap Jacky (in her wedding dress no less) and haul her of to do a task to make up for stealing a ship from the British. But Jacky being Jacky manages to do prevail against all odds and does what the British require, makes herself richer and gets rid of some irksome enemies. And because she doesn't trust the British, she even figures out a way to finally pay them back and manages to get it in writing. So she is finally free of the threat of death at the hands of the British government.....or at least we hope so at the end of this novel....who knows what the next one will bring......

I just saw the review for the 8th Jacky Faber book and those dang Brits are very untrustworthy! Wonder how long before my library gets that book in??.....
