Small southern town in the early 70's. A brutal murder and a small town newspaper owner that gets caught up in the story. Put it all in a big black frying pan with some hogback and fry it up. Much tastier than a plate of fried green tomatoes washed down with a jug of moonshine on a muggy summers eve out on the porch. Grisham has a talent that carries this book off with the tune of Dixie playing in the background. An awesome book that is so warm and genuine that it is just a pleasure to read.
