it was amazing

Generally, I didn't find the nine stories as memorable as Salinger's longer works. But the writing is superb - we still get some of his great dialogue in them. Standouts for me are "Pretty Mouth and Green My Eyes" for the phone conversation, "Dr. Daumier-Smith's Blue Period", and "Teddy". It was quite entertaining for me to read genius ten year old Teddy's philosophy, much of which I've thought of in the exact same way. There's something special though about it coming from a ten year old. That's part of the reason why Salinger's Glass family is so fun to read about too.
