really liked it
bookshelves: fiction, adventure
Read from April 27 to May 01, 2010

I liked the idea of the Society of Jesus setting up shop with yet another foreign culture – this time light years away. The setting is the future; however, I don't regard this as either futuristic or science fiction. The story is about faith, courage, and relationships that could could have occurred before the advent of global communication networks on earth – an updated A.J. Cronin-like work. Thoughtful and very well executed from beginning to end.
