Read from April 26 to 28, 2010

For someone who tends to be easily bored by anything happening in a lab, I was engrossed in this story. Skloot did an excellent job of blending science and narrative, and the technical information was easy to understand without feeling dumbed-down. So many very real issues of ethics are raised, and readers are sure to be left with a desire to pay attention to their medical care and the consent they give.

Holly I heard part of a Rebecca Skloot interview on NPR and it was fascinating. Thanks for reminding me to put this on my to-read list!
