it was amazing

this has been my favorite book this year, which is hard to say after all the great books ive read. it is a war book about a man that joins the marines. the book is from his point of veiw and shows what is going through his head as a soldier. i like that because it is like he is writing a letter to someone and then receiving all his thoughts and his personality. when he was setting up a spot near the enemy and he could have gone farther but then just did his orders, i would have thought that he was scared of being in combat. since i got to see his perspective, i learned that at he wanted to stay safe and set up his team to have a better execusion. nathaniel fick wanted to return safely but he takes his platoon through afghanistan and iraq so he returns safe anyway and write this book. overall it was a great book and i recommend it to anyone.
