This book, Eckhart's words echo so much of my spirituality already, but they resonate at a different level and have helped raise my conciousness to a much heightened level. I am so appreciative. I loved his quotes of the Bible, of Jesus, etc. Brought further truth to what I already knew. I highly recommend this book. It can evoke change wherever you need it as it encourages a much more peaceful way to think and live.

The book was overall pretty good. I felt that it celebrated the author's divorce in strange ways--meaning, since she never gave any good reason for her divorce, I felt that her neuroticism was a natural consequence, and I got a bit tired of the ranting about her pain and lack of ability to get over it. It seemed odd to me, being a Christian, and she too, that she could justify her finally "sitting in the palm of God's hand" and go off having an affair with man she wasn't married to. That bothered me. Was there really any plan to commit to him even at the end? What I did love is Ms. Gilbert's writing style--that is the only way I got through the whole thing. After the Italy trip, I got a little bit bored except for her prose. Glad it's over....

This is one of the best books I've ever read. Perhaps it was good timing too. Chette Williams is so inspiring in this book with his account of his spiritual journey through Auburn University and Auburn football. Whether you're an Auburn fan or not, so much example and inspiration can be learned through the life events of Chette and those around him. Simple events where you see God. Everyone could enjoy this book, but if you are an Auburn graduate, student, or just a fan---you have GOT to read this for one of the greatest heart-warming stories ever.
