		<user_review><![CDATA[OK, so I've never been much of a makeup person, but now that I live in the slightly more formal South it seems that no one goes out without makeup on. Since one of the requirements of my dress code is that I not get mistaken for a student, I needed help looking a bit more professional.<br/><br/>I borrowed this book from the library. It's light on actual content, but the portion about the 5-minute daily makeup regimen is clear. The appendix even lists recommended brands and colors, and includes an expensive and cheap product for each item.<br/><br/>So, don't buy this book unless you really love fluffy beauty books, but if you're a late bloomer as far as cosmetics it's a good crash course for people who don't have much time in the morning.]]></user_review>

I guess that's the section in which the author establishes his cred, but really he just seemed like a pompous ass to me. Once he stopped talking about himself and started actually talking about how to meet the Millennium Development Goals, the book got better. ]]></user_review>
