Great historical fiction. I've always loved anything involving Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots and Henry VIII so this was right up my alley. I liked that this book was about her entire life, often you get books or movies that are just a snapshot. It definitely didn't seem as sensationalized as some accounts of her live, and I like that aspect. Very interesting.

I purchased it on whim when I saw it on that deadly checkout aisle at TJ Maxx. It really sucked me in, I read the entire thing in one day on the beach. It was such an interesting and easy read. I really like that Meyer moves away from the more traditional vampires, giving these vampires a more realistic life.

There were definitly parts that irked me, sometimes it was too detailed, like I really need to know exactly what everyone is wearing each time they get dressed...and how easily Bella learns about the vampires...

However, I liked it enough that I went out and got the next book in the series!

Oh how the 15 year old girl in me loved this! I really wasn't expecting much from this, I know that people I have talked to have loved it, but somehow, I wasn't excited about it.

I loved Pillars of the Earth, and have had a copy of World Without End since my mom gave me a copy for x-mas. I've been putting it off since then, I guess I was just worried I might be disappointed...and I was a little.

At times, I really loved this. But I thought a lot of it was sort of rambling and confusing. It started out really strong and then just fell apart towards the end for me. It was interesting from the perspective of learning about a different culture and their experiences immigrating to the US.

This was a really interesting novel, and I plan to look in to more of Anne Tyler’s books. I enjoyed it, but I thought it could have used a little more humor and a little more character development. The characters were so eccentric and interesting; I guess I just wanted more from them.

I also might have to try some of Muriel’s tricks with my unruly dogs!

I can't believe I waited so long to read this! I LOVED IT! I saw the movies eons ago and really didn't remember anything about it, except that it was a story about rabbits.

It's such a fun story and I really think it's one that anyone would enjoy.

I really enjoyed this. Much more than I thought I would actually. I like learning more about different cultures, and seeing important national events and concerns through different perspectives. The love story was sort of the sub-plot to me, but over all this was great. I highly recommend.

If I could give this a 2.5 I would. It wasn't horrible, I guess I just wanted it to be better. I love the Ruminations E-mails. And I've even seen Aaron Karo's stand up and stayed out way to late with him on a school night (when i had to go to real job the next day!) But this wasn't all that funny. I guess his emails just seem so spontaneous and funny.

So last night when I couldn't sleep I was laying awake thinking about how I was going to review this. This is what I decided: I love Jane Hamilton; I do not love this book. I couldn't identify with any of the characters. I'm not even sure why. I just know that when it came to end, I was very glad. There were definitely parts of it I enjoyed. In fact, I really enjoyed the subplot about the sister, Elvira, more than anything else. So, I give this a big resounding "eh."

So, I tried to like this. I really did. After reading a lot of reviews, I noticed that most people thought it picked up after the first third of the book. I just don't agree. I got lost all over in the middle, than got back into it towards the end. It could have something to do with all the cold meds I was on at the time, but I don't know.
