I didn't know, when I started reading this book, that it was actually authored by an American man; and not a former Geisha; as the tile suggests. (I guess I thought Golden was the translator...)

I think I would've enjoyed this book more had I not been reading it for school. I loved the first half-or-so, but after that... not so much.

During a brief high-school exchange in Tokyo, Japan, one of the teachers gave me this book, and I was completely absorbed in it for the rest of my free-time (until I finished it, that is) I remember it being pretty trippy, and the main character sure did talk about his penis alot :P (but you get used to it) I'll review properly after I've re-read it...
