Let me tell you one thing, this book is hilarious! After a week I had it was exactly what I needed to relax, let my hair down and laugh my ass off! I really did not except to enjoy it so much, Tara Sivec is one witty writer with a natural sense of humor. Seduction and Snacks is the funniest book I've read so far, I have cried with laughter all day yesterday, my poor kids didn't know what was happening, they kept asking 'Mommy are you choking?' and the only reply I could menage was to shake my head, wipe the tears and wait for my breathing to come back to normal.
"And let’s face it people, no one is ever honest with you about child birth. Not even your mother. “It’s a pain you forget all about once you have that sweet little baby in your arms.” Bullshit. I CALL BULLSHIT. Any friend, cousin, or nosey-ass stranger in the grocery store that tells you it’s not that bad is a lying sack of shit. Your vagina is roughly the size of the girth of a penis. It has to stretch and open and turn into a giant bat cave so the life-sucking human you’ve been growing for nine months can angrily claw its way out. Who in their right mind would do that willingly? You’re just walking along one day and think to yourself, “You know, I think it’s time I turn my vagina into an Arby’s Beef and Cheddar (minus the cheddar) and saddle myself down for a minimum of eighteen years to someone who will suck the soul and the will to live right out of my body so I’m a shell of the person I used to be and can’t get laid even if I pay for it."
There are few things that needed editing, I felt second half of the book got a bit predictable and the storyline seemed too easy if that makes sense. Claire and Carter are described as a very similar characters and I would have like to see a little more differences between them, especially when it came down to parenting, moving in together and raising Gavin there were no heated discussions, almost no disagreements, it just didn't feel very realistic. And having two boys of my own, let me tell you as entertaining as it was to read about all of Gavin's antics I have never seen a 4 year old act like him. Again it's great to read about just not realistic. But you know what sometimes you feel like saying: SCREW YOU REALITY! and just enjoy yourself. This book is exactly right for one (or a hundred) of those times. So go on my goodreads fellows and enjoy yourself, because

It is not only because the story is very interesting or the action so gripping but because I have found my perfect fictional man! I have liked many other characters before, starting with BDB Wraith and Z or all three brothers from Demonica, let me tell you all of those great man have absolutely nothing on Raoul Fontenot. What can I say it's a love at first sight!
Night Game is a third book in the Ghost Walkers series and by far the best. The story starts when Raoul(Gator)and Ian from the special forces squad are sent to find two women. First one Joy, has gone missing, possibly kidnapped from local club where Raoul grew up and the other one Flame, who few years ago escaped medical facility where she's been experimented on.
I love many things about this story, from beautiful settings of the Bayou, hilarious humor to two possibly best characters in the whole paranormal genre I have encountered so far. It made me rolling with laughter one minute and close to tears the next! It's an excellent blend of action and romance.
Gator has been my favorite character even since the small appearance in the first two books. Irresistibly charming, unbelievably sexy and horrendously funny. With his bad boy attitude, disarming smile and beautiful french he had me at hello. He is everything I was looking for in a perfect fictional man. He's not only a soldier, specially gifted, great at what he does but he's also such a good guy, brought up by his Granny, protective over his three young brothers and family. No woman can say no to his Cajun charm, of course until he meets Flame. She's so my kind of woman! She's fierce, bright and brave, but also has a vulnerability that makes her very likable. After a horrible start to her life she doesn't trust anyone and counts only on herself.
The best thing about their relationship, well except from their banter, is that it's equal, Gator is an alpha man but he knows he can't dominate and control Flame. He supports her, respects her and when she's angry with him wins her over with his affection, love and a great amount of humor.
I have enjoyed this book immensely. I love a man who can make me laugh, so it's no surprise Gator won my heart. It has been one sexy ride! I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal genre, it's a great book on it's own if you don't feel like reading the first two. The Ghost Walkers series is going strong, I hope I can get my hands on the next book soon! ...more

I have fallen in love with Eidolon, been swooned by Shade, laughed with Wraith, felt for Lore and kicked some serious ass with Sin. What a journey it's been. Cannot believe it's come to an end, but then all good things do.
Before reading the book I was a bit worried that Sin will put me off with her hard ass 'I don't care' attitude, but I gotta say I love pleasant surprises and Sin was just that. Apart from being one hell of a heroine, she is a woman who's been to hell and back, experienced so much pain that in effect she's built the walls around herself to protect any remains of the woman she wanted to be. She's the bitch that you can't help but secretly love, and when the glimpses of her vulnerability started to shine through my heart really ached for her. The chemistry between her and Con is sizzling hot. Even tho Con wants to hate her for starting the plague, in the end he finds her irresistible, brakes down her defenses and falls in love with the person she really is.
And on top of all that, I still got to enjoy the rest of Sem brothers working together, protecting their sister and becoming one big, happy, demon family :) It was great to see how similar Wraith and Sin actually are. The way he called her smurfette and typhoid Mary, how he wanted to kill Con for hurting her, the way he held her when she broke down makes me wanna have a brother just like him. And Shade. And Eidolon. Hell I want them all!
My expectations for this book were high, as it's the last in the series and the only one featuring female lead character. I have to say I loved it, Ione has done an amazing job with it, so amazing I really wish there was at least one more book to follow.
Sin Undone is such a great, action packed, sexy and erotic novel. It's a great story on it's own but if you want to get the whole experience I highly suggest reading the whole series, trust me, you won't regret it, and than later you can thank me in the form of chocolates, flowers or perfume ;) Happy reading! ...more

The series is constantly evolving, as much as I loved the previous installments, the new ones just keep catching me off guard, I find myself totally lost in their world. I gotta say Ward is a very creative writer.
I was so looking forward to Xhex and John's story, not only because it was already introduced in previous books and therefore increased the anticipation but for me their relationship is...the only word comes to mind: POWER HOUSE! In other BDB books male characters are the main focus and their women always pale in comparison. But here in my opinion for the first time a woman's character stole the whole show. I really love how Ward constructed Xhex's character, she's a survivor, fighter, independent but also comes to realize that John is the one for her and she doesn't push him away. She hates to give in to her emotions and 'be a girl' maybe that's why she's not that popular among BDB fans? I loved her, found myself saying 'go girl' half the time :). John has always been one of my favorites, he is honorable, good, as Xhex calls him a 'male of worth', he is the perfect man to stand beside her. When they finally come together it's still very hard for both considering what they've been through, making their attraction and feelings for each other very powerful.
We also see the relationship between Blay and Quinn which I have to say is incredibly written. The heartache, jealousy, denial and Layla's addition made me panting for more. As much as I want to learn more about Payne (which I hope will be next kick-ass heroine) all I want is to find out how the Qhuinn/Layla/Blaylock/Sexton dynamic is going to shape.
Overall the book is full of drama, very emotional. J.R.Ward is an amazing writer, Lover Mine had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. What an adventure!...more

Zsadist story is by far the most interesting, enthralling and the plot twists are truly evil and mind chilling. He is the hero you want to see in every man. Troubled with broken soul capable of rising from the ashes like a Phoenix. It's amazing how from untrustworthy, unlikable, feared and unloved by everyone J R Ward makes Z the character you fall in love with. That is why this is such an excellent book. The most heart breaking part has to be watching this damaged, scarred, shell of a man learn how to make love. This book totally drew me in and i could not put it down! If i had to choose one word to describe it it would have to be heart-stopping!

I know I shouldn't take notice of book covers but I still do and sometimes they put me off, especially when the review at the back doesn't really give the feel of the story. I'm really glad I finally got my hands on this one as I really enjoyed it.
This book has everything the paranormal/urban fans would want. Cat is the type of a great kick-ass heroines that I always love to read about. She's a very interesting character, strong, feisty and brave, with a lot of insecurities deep inside. When she meets Bones, a sexy vampire with hilarious British accent the plot becomes so engrossed that I couldn't put the book down. The chemistry between those two leapt off the pages, the snarky banter between them made it even more entertaining. I didn't want the book to end at the same time I couldn't wait for the ending. You know the feeling, right? Bones has become my favorite vampire character, don't get me wrong I still love my BDB Brothers but Bones just fills the bill. Apart from being gorgeous and sexy, he's dangerous and witty, has just a right combination of a macho and a romantic.
Now the ending left me with my mouth wide open. I wanted to scream, shout and bang on the table! That's also the reason why I read the second book straight away and both in just 2 days.
I still couldn't figure out whether it's urban fantasy or paranormal romance, the genres are so intertwined these days that it's hard to tell them apart. I think if it's possible for two to coexist in one this book would be it.
It's fast paced, action packed, funny and sexy novel that grabbed me by the throat. It makes me wanna grow up to be an ass-kicking vampire reaper! Night Huntress became my new favorite series, it's a must read!
To give a little taste, here are some of my favorite quotes, enjoy ;)
"I gave him an evil look. 'Because if you don't, I'm going to get really, really celibate'"
"You go boy! I silently applauded him. Cut right to the point and show her a little snatch doesn't distract you! You are SO getting lucky tonight."
"My free hand swung in an arc to land on the ass she was admiring. With a glare, I gave it a big squeeze, using the last of my control not to shriek. You like it? Look who's got it!"
"Aside from the obvious, Francesca, what do you want in return for supplying information?” Bones asked, getting back to the subject. “You to take me,” she replied at once. “Not gonna happen!” I spat, squeezing him possessively. Three sets of widened eyes fixed on me. That’s when I realized that what I had a firm grip on was no longer his hand." ...more

But once I started I didn't even realize how engrossed I was in the story until I shed a few tears in the end. Yes I know I must be a big baby and all that but the book is such a wonderful love story I just couldn't help myself.
Many people mention that the plot is predictable, lacks in surprise and the characters are ordinary. I feel as if I was reading a totally different book. The dystopian world set in the story is excellent, compering it to Orwell's might be a bit of a stretch but it did give me the same feeling and that says a lot. I felt a part of it from the beginning. I will agree the first 100 pages are a bit slow, but than it's only due to the introduction of this whole new world. The book is really well written and as I haven't read any other books by Oliver now I definitely will. Lena and Alex are great characters, they grow a lot and in the end you can't help but feel proud of them. I love their contradictions and how imbalanced they are. Their own conflicts makes them very realistic. The ending itself is heart stopping and at the same time so right. You can literally feel the pain.
Delirium is a great story that makes you question love and life itself. It was really captivating and intelligent! Can't wait to get my hands on Pandemonium. If you have a day when you wonder what book to read reach for Delirium you won't be disappointed!

The story is very well crafted and moves through several characters and the plots are definitely not obvious. You will be surprised and most often than not shocked. What made me fall in love with Martin's writing are the characters he created. They are wonderfully complicated and every one of them has their flaws. The world he creates combines the medieval with the mystical, reminds me of Tolkien. The only thing i didn't like was the ending as it didn't resolve anything just created more suspense for the next book. But i guess that's the point with any series. Really good read, highly recommended! ...more
