This is a entertaining fairy tale that is different. Math loving Lily finds out that her dead father she never knew is really alive and lives in a different world. You get there through the door in her bathtub.
It is fun with math and fairy tale stories. I like the characters. I liked the topics of how important happily ever after is. That things might make a person happy for a moment. The math is a little bit much for me, but I did not have to do any so it was okay.
Lily has to look at herself and her ideas of what normal is and that her mother had lied to her all her life. Lily is fifteen years old. She wants to take lots of math classes but is not allowed. She loves math textbooks and books on math.
I would read another Lily Sparrow Chronicles in the future.
I was given a free ebook The Cinderella Theorem so I could give it a honest review. ...more

This is full of drama, lots of characters. It felt like real situations. Real frustrations of being single or even married. I did not like a lot of the characters. We saw only the bad side of a few characters.
Jenny Grant is frustrated that she is still single. Her last single friend is getting married. I want to like her but did not see much to like. Jenny has been asked to be a bridesmaid again.
James Cox I did like. He sold his company and moved to Salt Lake City, UT. He takes a temp job because he wants to work with computers. He has money so finding a job just to pay the bills is not a concern.
Stephie and her husband Phil is the second story told. They have moved back east for Phil's graduate school. Phil is very controlling. Phil has isolated Stephie without a phone, job and he comes home plays games and ignores her unless to yell or complain about her.
I liked Stephie and wanted to see more of her story. I would rather of had more of her. She is one of Jenny's friend that had gotten married this year.

I liked it so much I went and bought The Watched Trilogy last night. Which is the first three books about Christy I believe. I enjoyed the characters I read about. Sorry to see that one won't be coming back. I thought it was exciting story. Sad that so many students were sucked into making wrong choices so young. This is a clean read but their is a lot of violence in it..
Christy Hadden is nineteen and just got a new spy mission. She is going back to high school in New Your City. Where they think a bunch of kids are stealing cars. Their mission is to find one certain car and get it back. Why is a mystery. Christy likes her handler Jeremy. She can remember everything she sees because of her photographic memory.
Agent Halluis Moreau, Agent Amedee Renaud and Jeremy are all working together to find the car. Halluis is Jack-of-all-trades spy. Ace is tech genius. They were working the case by themselves. Once they figured out the school was center they got Christy because she is one of the youngest spies out there. Jeremy came next and because he was Christy's handler was in charge.
The suspects they have gathered are two guys who both are attracted to Christy. Christy does not want to have anything to do with them but must. She figures out early who some of the ring are.
I am excited to read the early books their are talked about things that happened to Christy when she was younger. I read 5 books in a couple of days that feature Christy and wish there were more to read now.
The setting for this book is A.G. Bell Academy, an engineering prep school in New York School.
Some of the kids going to this school come from big money. Some others are their on scholarship.
This story is fast paced, lots of drama, action. Christy gets into trouble but she can out think and is fast. Every time it starts to be slowing down and safe something else happens.

I have always liked Fairy tales. This takes two fairy tales and combines them and makes her own twists. I had to love it. Lots of drama, humor and romance, plus a clean read makes for a good tale.
I guessed how part of the story would be resolved way before it happened. Other twists I did not see.
Prince Henry and Duncan are twins. Henry has been ruling for the past five years. He is serious.
Prince Duncan likes to dress like a peasant and sneak out of the castle. He eats standing up. Avoids all the meetings his brother wants him to go to.
Duncan sees the prison guards try to wrangle a wild beast into prison. He helps and learns it is a girl who is accused of murder. The girl bites and scratches them. Duncan is drawn to help her. He asks the guards to treat her good and he will be back.
Prince Henry starts to see someone in his meetings that no one else sees.
Eglantine at age five was cursed. She will sleep till her brother frees a beast. Her parents put her in a glass greenhouse. She can sometimes hear when her family comes to visit her. The only life she knows is her dreams. At 19 She finds herself in neighboring kingdom and their castle and Prince Henry can see & hear her.
There is even a witch and I felt for her.
Eglantine teases Henry because she knows he can hear her and no one else has ever responded to her.
I read this in one setting. It does bring smiles to my face as I read.
The setting is two different kingdoms & palaces. The mode of transportation is horse & carriages.

3 1/2 STARS
This is a short novella about a Inspector Montalbano only 77 pages. This is the first time I have read any of Andrea' book. I am not familiar about different police departments in so I was a little lost on that facts.
Inspector Montalbano has dreams that helped him. He is interesting, swears a lot. He is a older policeman. I found it interesting he does not always wears a gun.
The setting is in Sicilian state of the Italy. It is translated into English from Italian.
I liked Inspector Montalbano and would be interested to read more about him and his cases.
Inspector Montalbano gets a letter telling him that someone is going to die and made to look like a accident. The letter took 3 days to get there and the murder already happened. The case is not in his area, but that does not stop him.

This is a fascinating story. I really have not read any books based on a little girl growing up in China. I did not want to put the story down. It was a good glimpse at what life was like.
It shows how hard and why students study so long and hard. What different festivals they celebrated. How the different uprising and changes made in political effected families. What happens if your family gets on the wrong side of the government and you became a black family. How the teachers, doctors were taken and uneducated people than became the doctors and teachers.
Min Li is the main character in Crystal Monkey. She starts out very young. She is born in a peasant family with a older brother and two younger sisters. She becomes fascinated with a expensive crystal monkey in a little gift shop. The shop owner is retired and does not sell too much and he tells her if it does not sell he will leave it to her in his will.
There is only one book that they have to learn from in school and supposedly each house. That is a scary thought of no books.
The author is a American who lived in China for years teaching English and is married to a Limin who is Chinese and based his character on. His book in my eyes made sense of what life could have been like in China at that time.
Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). Is what he based his book on those years and what was life like during that time.
I did not want the story to be over. I wanted to know more about Min Li's future.
I was given this ebook from Cedar Fort Publishing so I could give a honest review of it and take place on The Crystal Monkey book tour....more
This is the first book in the Jennifer Marsh series. It is actually the second I have read. So I knew who most of the characters were because I4 stars
This is the first book in the Jennifer Marsh series. It is actually the second I have read. So I knew who most of the characters were because I had read the seventh book first. This is a light hearted cozy mystery. It shows how eager and desperate writers are to get their work published and noted.
Jennifer Marsh is a single writer who has 8 finished novels in her closet. She is tired of getting rejected. She gets a idea that if she commits a real murder with a alibi and lead the police right to her. Someone will want to publish her. So she starts plotting. She works part-time for a catering job.
A agent who is rude and hateful will be her target. She really does not want to murder her but figures out if she can plan it all the way then she will be able to write her mysteries.
Of course things don't fall her way. I figured out part of who the killer was and why just not the name.
I wanted Jennifer to get her book published by the end of the book. I cared about her and her friends. I could not believe she was so desperate to even think of planning a murder.

I am reading the pdf file on my computer at 11:30 pm and the recipes look and sound so good I want to eat them. Do not have ingredients on hand to make any tonight. So sad.
Love the pictures! Cover is beautiful.
I really want to try the fudge recipes. The popcorn balls and maybe the red velvet brownies. The popcorn balls remind me of a Christmas treat that my grandmother made. She would use bunt pan and shape came out like a wreath instead of balls. Of course she did not have microwave popcorn.
The only things I did not like was that I would need to take my computer into Kitchen, but really is that there are only 20 recipes in this book. Also I don't think eating these would help my diabetes.
These recipes look easy to make and would be good to take to any Christmas parties you go to. Lots of smells and tastes of holidays with peppermint and eggnog flavorings

This is book 5 of Nina Bannister Mystery and the only one I have read. I feel that it can stand alone really well. I would like to read the other 4 books now. I was happy about how it all came together and surprised me. The suspense was good. I enjoyed the plot. That everyone started to think because her paintings were selling that she must be a good artist. So they jumped on the band wagon.
Nina Bannister is learning to paint. She is a retired school teacher and Principal. Her friend Carol has become close to her. Nina has a lot of friends.
Carol was a teacher than worked for The Chicago Art Museum and now she has turned to smuggling art to help her sick father. Carol feels really close to Nina. They are having fun dreaming up a trip to Europe.
You are drawn into Carol and Nina's lives and you want to see them solve their problems and see how far Nina's paintings will go.
You can see how easy it is when you need money to start making wrong choices and then you get deeper and deeper into trouble.
There is a rich man who is buying stolen art and having it smuggled to one of his homes. There is a mystery person or group that is trying to find the stolen paintings from the Jews by Germans in WWII and steal it back to return to rightful owners. The couriers are disappearing.
The setting for most of the book happens in Bay St. Lucy, Mississippi
I like the sense of humor in the book too. I laughed a few times.
