3 stars as the book loses focus near the end, straying from the main narrative and trying to make a lot of points at once. This end discussion was relevant and interesting, just not well planned out. Also, the last few chapters brought up so much weird stuff about the doctor. I mean, this guy has been on Oprah and was a very very prominent guy. I know he's trying to live under the radar now, but this is really the man I wanted to know more about. I think a little extra digging could have been done here.
Regardless, I'm happy that David was cooperative with the author in writing his book, even though he clearly wanted nothing to do with his past. This was a story that needed to be told and I wish him and his family could have had some comfort in that and it's really tragic seeing that both brothers later committed suicide....more
