We were all led to believe it was one member of the Mason family who was the killer when really it was the other.
The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that the Scottish slang words were difficult to grasp at times

What on earth is going on in Holly Mill Lane?
Some brilliant sound effects from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
I would recommend this to anybody that hasn't listened to an audio book before.(less)

The dog Chester certainly doesn't like the place and you begin to realise why. A lot of ghostly goings on from strange noises to orbs of light and a stranger who investigates paranormal activity but is not all he seems. A thoroughly good read from start to finish (less)

Roger Delgado is one of my favourite actors and this book certainly captures the way he portrayed the Master. Very different from the usual Who books as the Doctor doesn't make an appearance until the last page. UNIT are in top form as usual though. And it's very interesting to see the Master temporarily working for them and forging a very uneasy alliance with the Brig and co (less)

It's interesting to read about the Brigadier's past. The rest of the story reminds me very much of the televised story The Daemons. What on earth is going on in Hobs Haven and who is the mysterious figure on the bicycle? I would recommend this book to any one I sat down and read it in two days once I started reading I couldn't stop. (less)

It was nice to see the return of Harry Erskine and Singing Rock or should I say Singiing Rock's spirit. I always picture Tony Curtis when I think of Harry Erskine (less)

The only thing that did disappoint me was when the Master is talking to Miss Hawthorne and he says 'Have a cup of tea, I've often said a good cup of tea can go along way to solving most of life's little problems' that he doesn't say it in the televised story, I thought it was a brilliant line and could easily visualise Roger Delgado delivering that with charm and a twinkle in his eyes (less)
