Being drunk they didn't fully understand what they were doing until after they had pissed on the walls, vommitted on the floor, broken everything in the house (except the windows), and raped Karen Jerome. They push her down a flight of stairs where she slips into a coma. But the Avenger had seen it all, and he would have his revenge. All he had to do was wait. It shows you how trust, love, and faith in things beyond can overcome even the greatest of evils.
A wolf pack seeks shelter in an abandoned castle, hoping to find a safe birthing place for the cubs that stir in the Drappa's (lead female wolf of a pack) belly. But they did not know what was hidden beneath those stone walls.
Two wolves were born into the world one fateful night, while a human child was also being born in a nearby village. A destiny is coming true at last when the pack leaves their boundaries. The young white wolf, Larka, and her black brother Fell run alongside their parents, Huttser and Palla, learning everything they can. They soon find out that this was not enough, that they would need more knowledge to be able to survive in what was fast becoming a man-inhabited world. While one wolf turns to light for hope, the other turns to darkness. Torn between her destiny and her family, Larka runs away with Tsinga's (a wolf fortune teller) words still ringing in her ears, "Beware of the water."
The protagonist of this story is a 2-year old wolf by the name of Larka. She is always looking out for her loved ones and cares more for their safety than hers. She learns to love and understand even the person who is trying to kill her, Morgra. Larka is a strong- hearted wolf who, despite many obstacles, leaves her family for the better of the human race, of the Varg (wolf) race, and of all Putnar (predators) and Lera (animals/ prey). She can find light in even the darkest of places.
On a scale of one to ten I would give this book a ten. It taught me to understand why certain people are the way they are and to not judge people without really trying to live in their shoes. This was a fast-paced novel that kept me on my toes throughout the whole story. I thoroughly enjoyed the way it made you actually look back and understand why fairy tales are written, to bring light where there is none. ...more

The book is about three best friends [Eliza, Mara, and Jacqui] that have to overcome obstacles in order to stay together. Eliza is a cool, smart, girl that knows everything about fashion. Mara comes from a poor family, but she's very nice and sensible. Jacqui is beautiful, smart and all guys that give her a look fall in love with her. Eliza is in love with a guy that seems to have forgotten her, so she looks for console in Mara's ex. Mara can't forget her ex, but he seems happy with his new girlfriend. Jacqui promised to hit the books all summer long. The problem is that a hot French guy wants her to do the opposite, and party with him. I would recommend this book to all the girls that like reading about drama. What I like about the book is that you feel everything the characters feel; happiness, disappointment, pain and sadness. I also like that the book goes on really fast, you don't even notice the time! The ending is very interesting; it shows that if you are a real friend, you'll forgive everything no matter what. Love between true friends is unbreakable. ...more

This book can defiantly be challenging at some parts but is worth reading. I mean when you read Flowers for Algernon you get the chance to be on the mind of Charlie Gordon who is over 30 years old and is mentally retarded. Yes, I know that sounds funny but that thought will fade once you get the chance to see life through the eyes of one very interesting person. Charlie gets the chance to change everything that makes him, him. He gets an operation that raises his I.Q but that choice could end up costing him.
This book helps you discover that you should stay true to where you come from because you never know what may happen.

Ed's (main character) life is going nowhere until an incident at the bank that really turns his life around. After that fateful day, Ed starts receiving cards in the mail which have people’s addresses on the back. Ed then has to visit each one of these homes and discover why he was sent there. Ed ends up knowing that he has a purpose and is not a nobody. Even if a "stranger" was sending him the cards, Ed still visited the homes. This book is defiantly a 10 for sure. I give it a 10 because this book made me realize that one incident can really make an impact on your life. ...more

The mainThis book was one of the best books I've read so far. It tells you different point of views of people thinking or seeing what was happening. The main character is Andy. He was a basketball player in Hazelwood high school and is 17 yrs old; he also had a little brother. The book is about when these four guys all go out to celebrate then tragedy happened. They crashed. Andy blames himself for killing Rob in the crash because he couldn’t save him and also because he was the one that was driving the car. What I learned about by reading this book is that don't do something when you know it’s wrong. I rated this book a five because I thought it was a really good book and it was one of the best books i have read.

I really didn't like the beginningWell I’m still reading the book How to Be a Girly Girl in Just Ten Days (Candy Apple) but I am almost done with it. I really didn't like the beginning at first. She was so into sports and she was always dirty. I thought she would never be able to get that guy to like her. It started to get interesting when she got her "girly-girl" makeover. After that I couldn't put the book down. Even thought I didn't see her in real life, I could still imagine that she looked beautiful. The main reason she is getting this makeover is to get a boy to like her. She thinks he likes the preppy girls like Hannah, but I don't know yet, I'll have to finish the book. I would rate this book a 10 because it kept me reading and I didn’t want to put the book down at any time. I also rate it a 10 because I had a friend once that was into all these sports, and then she wanted to become all preppy and clean. So I and my friends helped her out. Now she is cleaner than all of us. Well I will recommend this book to any girl that hasn’t read it. It is very interesting and I promise you will love it. ...more

When I fell in love with the book was when Leo spots Stargirl he notices that she is the only one that is "different" from the rest. She is exotic. Everybody loves her, she cares about other peoples feelings a lot. The part I love the most is when Stargirl is going to sing to somebody because it is their birthday the person tells her that she doesn't want to get sang at. Stargirl still sings but technically not to her bcause she sang to Leo een though the song was ment for somebody else. I really couldn't stop laughing at this. At the end she leaves. Like out of nowhere. Leo gets very sad. He really loved her and Stargirl really loved him. I literally started to cry. I wanted to see if peoplestopped treating her like a piece of poop on the floor. The way I can relate to this is because I myself wuld say that I am different thatn many other people. I speak my mind outloud. I just really want to know why she left? She had all the people she could by her side. She din't care about problems, she put them aside and helped somebody else with their problems. She was unique. Her life was perfect, so why did she leave her perfect life? It gets me mad. Is there anybody like her in this world? because if there is can you please point them out for me. In my world evrybody tries to be like everybody else, so everybody is the same. This book is the bestest thing since sliced bread. Every time before I fell asleep Stargirls was the only person on my mind. Stargirl is my inspiraton. My goal is to become somebody like Stargirl. I am going to help out the community more often, I will drop my change so somebody else can find it, I will take time off to read those news bulletins, I will cheer for the other team when they make a point. I will just try to become a better person.

I am now reading The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. It is really interesting that Dear Mr.Gowen, I just finised The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. I am now reading The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. It is really interesting that Tyson catches the balls of fire. Here is the quote from the book,"Both balls slamed into him... but no... he'd caught them!... He sent them hurdling back, tward their surprised owners..." I like this quote because it shows that you never know what is in someone because you never really "look closely". I like this book, but I have to admitt that it is not as good as The Lightning Thief. So far my favorite part in the book is Annabeth tells Precy to look closey. When he does look, all he sees is one big eye. When I heard this I could imagine a huge person(for me),going up, with nasty little teeth, a wierd shaped nose. and an eye. Also, I would see that he barely had any hair. Once I would see him I would think of my cousin. He doesn't have one eye, he is tall, and he does have a wierd shaped nose, he is not really smart and he too has a type of accent. I would understand why Percy could have stuck with him. One reason why it is not so good is because I didn't like the way he set up the characters. The coach annoyed me big time! I also got kind of confused because in the beggining if the kids could see the monsters then why couldn't the coach see them? If I were to talk to a character I would have to talk to Tyson. Not because he is my favorite, but it is because he is the weakest one when it comes to smartness. He also doesn't have common sense. He is strong in stregnth, but very weak. Even though I haven't gotten to that part, I would not be surprised if he doesn't make it through a big battle. Well, bye!!! sicerely, Felicca Pena...more
