When I fell in love with the book was when Leo spots Stargirl he notices that she is the only one that is "different" from the rest. She is exotic. Everybody loves her, she cares about other peoples feelings a lot. The part I love the most is when Stargirl is going to sing to somebody because it is their birthday the person tells her that she doesn't want to get sang at. Stargirl still sings but technically not to her bcause she sang to Leo een though the song was ment for somebody else. I really couldn't stop laughing at this. At the end she leaves. Like out of nowhere. Leo gets very sad. He really loved her and Stargirl really loved him. I literally started to cry. I wanted to see if peoplestopped treating her like a piece of poop on the floor. The way I can relate to this is because I myself wuld say that I am different thatn many other people. I speak my mind outloud. I just really want to know why she left? She had all the people she could by her side. She din't care about problems, she put them aside and helped somebody else with their problems. She was unique. Her life was perfect, so why did she leave her perfect life? It gets me mad. Is there anybody like her in this world? because if there is can you please point them out for me. In my world evrybody tries to be like everybody else, so everybody is the same. This book is the bestest thing since sliced bread. Every time before I fell asleep Stargirls was the only person on my mind. Stargirl is my inspiraton. My goal is to become somebody like Stargirl. I am going to help out the community more often, I will drop my change so somebody else can find it, I will take time off to read those news bulletins, I will cheer for the other team when they make a point. I will just try to become a better person.

She would torture him and do very bad things to him like put him in a gas chamber. Dave would go days without eating. He had to steal from school just so he can have a bite to eat and had a bad reputation in his elementary school for stealing. Once his mom found out he’d been eating she made him throw it up and eat it afterwards. She would do much more than that to him. He had to learn how to play by her games and rules in order to survive. Not even his father would help. Dave felt like he had no more hope in life. Not even the one man who he looked up to would help him out. He knew he was in the depths of hell. Though he was tortured and beaten up, he never lost faith. While reading this book you get to feel the same pain as little Dave Pelzer felt. You will feel the pain when he gets beaten and when he feels loved. You will feel every emotion he gets from hatred to hope. This is one of my favorite books of all time. I recommend it to everyone. It has thought me that you may think you may have it bad but there’s always someone out there who has it worse. This book also thought me to be grateful for the kind of parents you have.

After I read it I realized why so many loved this book. The part I remember the most is when Alice barely goes back to school after running away. I believe that this book speaks to a lot of people. I think that it was published to help save people from drugs before it is too late. Alice was an excellent student that lost her life to drugs. She was an outgoing person that took life day by day. Alice was not a bad person or trouble-maker she was just a girl put in to the wrong situation at the wrong time. This book is very interesting and I just LOVE it! Well, I honestly feel bad for Alice. At the beginning of her diary she talks about saving her virginity for Roger (the love of her life). Towards the middle of the diary you start to see that the drugs begin to actually control Alice. So, when she is stoned she just throws her virginity away. Alice's love life is far from perfect. After losing her virginity to Billy she started dating a gay drug dealer. That isn't the sad part. What is really sad is that she catches him having sex with her best friend’s boyfriend. There are many interpretations for the title of this diary. The most reasonable explanation for this is what she thought the diary. In the diary Alice was known for pushing drugs. So if people wanted drugs they would "go ask Alice". Well, that is all I have to say about this book right now. If you have any questions or comments please write back. If I had to rate this book on a scale from 1-10 I would rate it a 10. I would probably rate it a ten for many reasons. One of the reasons would probably be because this book speaks to ALL types of people. Secondly, this book is the best teenage diary that I have read. Well, that is all I have to say about this book right now. If you have any questions or comments please write back. Signed, Ximara Torres ...more

This book has shown me that all people are equal. This book has shown me that people should be respected no matter who they are, where they come from, what their background is, or the color of their skin. You shouldn't judge someone just because their hair is darker than you. Everyone should have everyone's respect and no one should judge someone before they really get to know them.
Scout, Jem, and Dill all judged Boo Radley. They made a game out of him like they would try and act like him, and mock him when they had never even seen him let alone know anything true about him. What they did was mean, disrespectful, and rude because they were judging him before they really got to know him. They judged him by the rumors they heard about him and he turned out to be the complete opposite of what they thought about him.
The character in the book who I respected most is Atticus because he respected everyone. He said all people were equal and everyone should be treated equally. And for him to take the Tom Robinson case showed that he was willing to not care what people were going to say about him and that he was committed to his job and he didn't care that Tom Robinson was black he was going to defend him the way he defended all of his other clients, which was the best he could do.
I love this book and I'll never forget what it has taught me. I believe that this book can help a lot of people in a little or in a big way. This book has shown me that unless I've walked in someone else's shoes or lived someone else's life then I shouldn't judge them. It's just like you may think you have it bad but there are others who have it worse. Everyone deserves respect and To Kill a Mockingbird taught me that. I will always remember this book for what it has taught me and I believe it can do the same for others....more

I'm currently at the part where Regan is already possessed and the priests are about to do an exorcism. There are a lot of disgusting parts in this book. I would give you a quote of that, but it's just too inappropriate to say.(or write) William Peter Blatty uses a lot of mature language and has a really vivid image of Regan. "Thickly, matted hair...wasted arms and legs...distended stomach jutting up so grotesquely." I can just see Regan in her bed. In the book, they describe the stench of Regan's room. I'm just wondering how whatever is in Regan can stand it. Maybe since it's a demon, they just are so inhumane they can take the stench. I couldn't imagine how it would be to be Chris. If my daughter got possessed, I would be afraid of her. I wouldn't even want to look at her because I wouldn't believe that is my child. In the beginning of the book, Regan was playing with a Quigi board. This reminds me of a time that my sister had gotten a Quigi board for her birthday. Well, she wanted to play with it, but my mom said she shouldn't. My sister asked why and she says that that's how some people got the devil or other demons inside of them. My sister didn't believe her. She invited her friends over to play with the Quigi board when my mom wasn't home. Well, my mom came back and saw them and my sister got in a lot of trouble. I guess my mom was right. Well, according to The Exorcist she is. I guess mom's do know best. Well, this book scares me so much! I can't even read it at night or alone because I'm afraid something is just going to come up from behind me. I really want to watch the movie after I'm done with the book. Although I'm really scared to do it, I wonder how my perspective will change about it since the book has a lot more details than the movie. I also want to research more about exorcism but again, I'm too scared! I'm afraid I will see some pictures I don't want to see!...more

I would def The book, The Sweet, Terrible, Glorious Year I Truly, Completely Lost It is a book that I would highly recommend to all people out there. I would definitely rate this book a ten. Although by the cover, it seems like a girl-only book, it's something that everyone could enjoy. Boys, I guarantee you will learn A LOT about girls from this book. You will learn how they think, how they talk, and even how they react to certain types of situations. You will learn that they are probably just like you. This book for me was definitely one that was fun and easy to read and that for me was definitely a plus. I really learned from this book that family sometimes can be stressful, but they could also be your best friends.
In this book, the protagonist, Gemma Stone is a typical teenager that is just trying to get by in life. She is the type of girl that always bites her tongue for the fear of hurting other’s feelings. Gemma is just a normal person. She isn’t popular, or someone who everyone knows, but she is still a unique person. Throughout the book, the protagonist undergoes her sister becoming a bride, not only that, but a monster bride. Her sister, Debbie is one that will lash out on you for just saying that you’re hungry. Under all this pressure from the wedding, Debbie is making Gemma’s life miserable. From the family that Debbie is marrying into to the outfit that she has to wear, Gemma’s life is spiraling downward. In the end...well, I won't tell you, you have to read it, but I guarantee it is going to be a book that you will always remember reading. ...more
