Those who loved Beautiful Bastard will love to know that Chloe and Bennett are very much part of the story line, even though this particular tale is about Sara Dillion after she moves to New York.
This book is steamy, entertaining and deliciously naughty! The authors are very witty in their writing style.
I finished the book rather quickly. I didn't want to put it down!

I truly enjoyed every aspect of this novel, the plot, the twists, the humor, the characters. It was a very hard novel to put down. Simon Jenner is an author I will definitely read again and I look forward to his next book!
Here is a blurb from my blog review:
"This book is jammed packed with that will keep you turning the pages. While I was reading, this book could not be pried from my hands!! The best part.... Author Simon Jenner has tricked us! JUST when you think 'Okay, this is getting a bit predictable....' and figure the book is reaching the end....BOOM..... Major twist you don't see coming!"

Couldn't put it down....it's fun, mysterious, sexy.. If this novel is any indication, the Inside Out Trilogy is going to be highly addictive. I am already on pins and needles for the next novels!!!
"While it's reminiscent of all the other books in the genre.....this one has a dangerous spin.....and is worth the read! I even read this novel twice in a week (because apparently I am doing that a lot lately) Unlike most novels, I don't know where this trilogy will actually take us.......I love that!!" (less)

I loved the sassy way it was written as well as the story line. Looking forward to reading the next book, even though it's new characters!
An excerpt from my Beautiful Bastard blog review:
"The interesting twist. This boss and assistant duo positively hate each other. They are complete equals both in spirit and work ethic. It makes the story that much better. They argue, they fight, throw around smart ass comments and insults....purposely provoking each other.....all the while they become overly obsessed....It's a sexy power struggle! An Anti-Love Story!"

Watching Paige re-discover herself in a backwoods town is very entertaining.
"What can I say? I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! It was like a breath of fresh air! I felt it didn't stick with any stereotypical recipe for a great story, it was original, clever and even with the sad/darker subject matter (loneliness, drug and alcohol abuse, divorce) it was fun read. Very well written.
The lead character Paige Scott (Davenport) remains somewhat of a mystery to the reader. Unlike a graet majority of novels where you get a good solid back story within the first chapter or so.... the reader doesn't really get treated to that information until the book progresses. It's like Paige was just plucked out of thin air, dropped into the story and her life really just began. (Which is very significant to the story line) The journey Paige takes is her rebirth. She's finally finding herself and coming alive."(less)

She shares a lot of information regarding the 'religion' and has some explosive details and secrets that even 'Public' Scientologists and Celebrities aren't aware of. It's worth reading.

It didn't take me long to read and I was disappointed that my expectations weren't met. I found myself constantly comparing it to Kathryn Harvey's 'Butterfly' (Which IMO is a five star novel) I did like S.E.C.R.E.T, but I found when it comes to the genre, it almost played it too safe, lightly skimming the surface of the story. While I do like cliffhangers, this one was far too abrupt for me. It made me mad more than it left me wanting more.

I found the characters for their ages presented a very teenaged like-romance. It was certainly a book that I could recommend to my mother, or those looking for a romance that isn't overly sexual. While the twist was my favorite part, I found it predictable, but that is okay. I was happy to know I was right!

"The way the book was written, while it isn't a 'heavy' novel at all, it did keep me on my toes a bit. I think it was just the combination of the features.I honestly didn't know what to really expect next. It ended up being a fun, light and casual read. I thought at times, 'oh okay, it's going to get a bit sexual' and than it wasn't. (damnit!!) Now I'm not saying that in a 'bad' way.... but I will go so far to say that if the book was human, it would be a tease! All sexy talk, little action. I do wish though it had pushed the romantic limits a biiiiiiiiit more.
The mysterious side story with Rob the creepy boss had a surprise outcome......."

The way the story builds keeps you on the edge of your seat. It completely captivated me from the first page when the 'Rules' were listed. I automatically wanted to know more and couldn't put the book down. The characters were entertaining, one of my favorites being Denzil, he brought comedy to it, while the book was getting intense. The ending is a complete cliff hanger that left me screaming for more. Honestly, one of the best books I have read so far in 2013 and I am waiting on pins and needles for the next one.

"All that said, I did love the courage, the determination, the journey to healing that Marianne Curtis showed within the pages of her novel. Her writing style completely drew me in from page one and I finished the book within hours of starting it. You could not pry my iPhone out of my hands (Kindle App...LOVE it!) One of the things I want to note is how the story flows. There is a quality to it that makes it feel as if you are experiencing it with the author. Her life's lessons and struggles are hard for anyone to swallow, but they really make you think. For those few hours on New Years Eve I felt like I was living it along side her. When she was telling her birth mothers tale, I felt the pain of that mother come through on the pages. When she spoke of desperately trying to escape her home, I was praying that she could too. When she connects with her birth family via Facebook, I was ecstatic! I have to say, one of my favorite parts of the book comes toward the end. No spoilers, but I will hint and say it is very spiritual and (in my opinion) brings things full circle."

"This book is packed with story lines such as the budding romance, a story of cancer survival, difficult career choices. One of the things I loved about this novel it illustrates just how far good people will go to help those who need it most. (On a side note, have you gone out of your way to help someone lately?) The author has also thrown into the mix some humor, and quirky characters you will love such as Finney, Ethel Lynn and Theodora. (I hope to be a crotchety old lady like Theodora one day) With all that is going on in the story, you will not put this book down. One word of advice, do not read without a box of tissues handy! There are some very emotional parts of this book that will have you weeping. (If you don't cry while reading it you are dead inside, DEAD I say!)
So, my verdict? As it stands, I HIGHLY recommend this book to women (men too, let's not be sexist!) who are looking for a feel good, romantic, heartwarming tale. Second Chance Grill captures that wholesome small town 'Americana' feel to a T!"

Here is a snippet from my blog review:
"The book starts off slow. It took me a bit to get used to how the story is delivered mainly in dialogue, but eventually I found a rhythm. I felt the book read like someone was sitting across from me in a chair, sharing with me the wildest story of their life. It was a gruff and straightforward telling. My one complaint was there was a lot of broker talk, but given the nature of the characters job, I can let it slide. It says at the end of the book that there is a sequel in the works, I am interested to see how the story will continue!"
