Strangely, I wish it were even longer as I wanted even more details on the why's and how's of all the recommendations. I don't agree with absolutely everything here, but I found that the principles are adaptable to my own preferences and allow me to eat what I like, feel full and satisfied, and conquer so many modern ailments like allergies. This is a very time-consuming diet, as it eschews the lack of nutrients in convenience methods of food prep, but I truly believe these ideas are crucial.(less)

It filled in so many of the gaps (pun intended) in my research, finally explaining the connections I'd suspected between gut flora and all our health issues. We aren't dealing with autism in our house, but I'm thinking of trying her diet to deal with food intolerances, bedwetting, etc, and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with any digestive issues at all. Even if you don't do the diet, the information is invaluable.
(4 stars only because the writing feels a bit choppy and disorganized, which bugs the English teacher in me, though for this great info it's worth it.)(less)
