Especially at someone who was writing that this was borderline animal abuse. Give me a break, not all of these situations are going to be right on. Do you really think he was laughing when the dog was hanging out the car window? No. But would it sell if you were writing about how scared you were? No. It's funnier to picture a funnier situation. Get over yourself.
Honestly, this book was amazing for me. I am a huge pet lover and I love seeing the relationship between John and Marley, and I can completely understand where he is coming from. It's hard when you get your first dog, training wise and stuff, and they ARE your children.. and definitely a huge part of your family, and I think he portrayed that pretty well. Great job! Great book! Made me cry, laugh, smile, and upset when the book was over. I loved it and would re-read it multiple times.

The Hunger Games and Catching FireI'm not really that great with reviews, and perhaps not so much for this kind of a series, but I am going to try...
The Hunger Games and Catching Fire both had me on the edge of my seat in suspence, wanting to know what is going to happen next... NEEDING to know.. I was practically dying. I was just so angry when I was at work and couldn't actually read the books because it was as if I couldn't function without knowing what is going on with these characters... that's what Suzanne Collins did. She made me fall inlove with these characters within the first couple of chapters.. and I'm sure she did the same with all of you guys as well.
I think this book was very good, Suzanne Collins did not give the fans exactly what they wanted, and stuck to doing what she wanted to do with this book and this trilogy, therefore I respect her for that. I rated this a 4 star because I did feel like it was slow in the beginning and rushed in the end, I would've rather liked a different approach to that, but I do think she did a great job anyways.
I would definitely recommend this trilogy to friends to read. I read the whole trilogy in about 10 days which is pretty great for me. :) I loved it. Definitely 5 stars for the whole series.
The only thing that upsets me is how she ended the book, and some of the things she did with the characters throughout the books. I feel horribly bad for Katniss' Mom... and of course for Katniss. (view spoiler)[ I was rooting for Peeta and Katniss the whole time, devastated when Peeta had been hijacked and was acting the way he was towards her. (hide spoiler)] Yay for a somewhat happy ending.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more

I have really mixed feelings, to be honest.
I started reading this book because of all the hype, but reading erotica books aren't normally my thing, especially with bondage and torture things.. reading about sex isn't really my thing, but I figured worse comes to worse I could just stop reading it.
Basically, there is a lot of sex parts, some normal, some disturbing and gross. But, there are a lot of them. I didn't expect there to be a story-line, which is why I was hesitant on reading it, but it turns out there was a story-line that sucked me in... almost right away. A lot of the parts I almost wanted to skim/skip because it would be sex, more sex, more sex after that, then a couple of pages of normal, then right back to sex. Should've expected it with all I heard about the book.. most of it was definitely acceptable and not too much, but other parts were just like "...Really?" You have got to be kidding me.
I was sucked in though, because I am innocent myself, much like Ana.. and I felt for her. Falling for the "wrong" guy. But how could you not love him, even if he is Fifty Shades of Fucked up? The reason I was sooo sucked in and so into it? Because of Christian Grey. I want to know WHAT the heck is wrong with this guy.... and slowly you find out a little more here and there about him. But it has still left me hanging.... I feel horrible for Ana with the way this book had ended, so hurt and so sad.. but now moving onto Fifty Shades Darker....more

(view spoiler)[ I know I should hate Ty... but I almost am rooting for him and Gemma to be together, in a weird way I wanted them to be a couple. In a weird way I kind of like Ty a little bit. I know that what Ty did was wrong.. and that he should be punished for that, and justice should be served, but I guess I'm a little bit bummed that she had to get bitten by a venomous snake, that silly girl. (though it worked out for her... kind of?) I'm not really sure how to word what I'm feeling/thinking about this book right now, except WOW.
One thing I'd like to add is... couldn't Lucy Christopher have at least told us what exactly happened to him after the trial? That part is going to kill me for awhile. (hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>...more

I rated this book 4 stars because it was just a very fun read.. it was one of those books that I could've probably read in just a few days as opposed to a weeks time, but I unfortunately had a bad cold when I started reading this and a couple of the days I was planning on finishing the book I couldn't even stay awake so I ended up passing out early and not reading as much as I had wanted.
This book is about a woman who got pregnant when she was very young and her life during and afterwards. One of the best parts of this book was the way O'Neal wrote it, she had it separated in parts. When the second part started and we got to look at Ramona's 15 year old life when she was pregnant with her daughter Sofia - I was at first really stressed out because it was a little suspensful for me, I wanted to know what was going on after part 1, but of course we got back to that in part 3. I really enjoyed that O'Neal put part 2 in the book, I feel like it made us really get to know Ramona's character and who she was, and it had me a little more emotionally involved with her as a character, esp. as a main character.
There were many parts in this book that had me in tears, and the reason for my 4 star rating is because of how easy it was for me to get emotionally involved in this story. I haven't truthfully cried while reading a story in a while.
I would recommend this book to anyone, really. I especially loved that there was a dog named Merlin and a cat named Milo brought up in the book multiple times. I'm a super animal lover....more

I like the story line, love seeing Ana and Christian back together and doing so well, and now they are getting married, which is awesome. Also very ecstatic that Mrs Robinson is out of the picture, too! Finally. But, honestly, it took me forever to read this book. Not only because I was busy buying a new house and moving and all of that stuff, but also because the sex scenes... there were a lot and to be honest, they got kind of boring to me. I honestly had to stop almost at every single one and brace myself and pick the book back up in a day or so, and if you read the book you know how often sex scenes popped up. So needless to say, I'd read like 3 pages, put the book down, then read 4 or 5 the next day. Just insane for me, because I don't normally take that long to read books... but oh well. Off to Fifty Shades Freed, hopefully not so lame. :p...more
