Celaena must agree to take part in a competition to become the royal assassin. If she wins and works as their assassin for 4 years she'll gain her freedom. Something Celaena has never had.
This series wasn't originally on my list to read, but I found the cover very enticing. It turned out to be such an exciting read. I loved the strong, but vulnerable Celaena. Throne of Glass was a fantasy story you won't want to put down. Wonderful world building and even more interesting characters. This is action packed story filled will intrigue, murder, friendship and love.
If you enjoyed Kristin Cashore's Graceling Realm or Maria V. Snyder's Study series, you should definitely try Sarah J. Maas. Throne of Glass is narrated by Elizabeth Evans. For me a narrator can make or break an audio book. But I really enjoyed Ms. Evans voice, she became Celaena completely.

There is a part of me that is glad that this series is nearing its end. Since book one this group of teens have been in a non-stop loop of chaos and danger. The thorn in their side being Neferet. While there have been other dangers to the group, Neferet is the villain in every book. That part of the story has just kind of gotten boring for me. Revealed is good read. Entertaining with a shocking ending. Not only is there a threat of the supernatural kind, but there is also a threat from the humans. Action-filled with interesting happenings between the group. I am excited to see how this series will end.(less)

She is scared at where they stand and that he'll walk away. Death is constantly whispering in her mind and with danger at every step Evie finds her world more chaotic than ever before.
Excellent read! I loved book one, Poison Princess - so I was excited to jump right into the sequel. I wasn't disappointment. Death was delicious and very tempting, and even with the new revelation I still really like Jack as well. Endless Knight is a captivating story, dark and dangerous. New tarot cards are introduced. Ms. Cole never fails to pack a punch. Due to some of the scenes I do think that this book moved from YA to Paranormal Romance. Definitely A must read.
Endless Knight is narrated by Emma Galvin. If you have listened to the audio books of the Divergent series, you'll recognize her as the voice of Tris but with a slight southern accent. I found it to be a nice surprise and very much enjoyed her reading.

There were parts of the book that dragged on, but I did enjoy the story, especially the last half of the book. The ending was bittersweet.(less)

Charged by the church to investigate the mysteries along with way. Each day that goes by Luca & Isolde's feeling for each other grow strong. Things are put to a halt when they encounter Joahnn and this band of child followers on their way to the Holy Land.
This is book two in the Order of the Darkness series. I didn't read book one, so I went into this story kinda blind. But it turned out to be a very enjoyable read. My favorite thing about this book is Luca and Isolde. Sweet, young love. Stormbringers is an intriguing story, rich in details. For me the only minus to the story was Brother Peter, he was beyond annoying. Philippa Gregory is as ever an excellent storyteller. If you enjoyed her books in the past, you'll probably love this one too.
Stormbringers is narrated by Nicola Barber. I found her pleasant to listen to.

Ever since she can remember it's been her dream to attend the Academy. She is accepted and then turned down when they learn she needs her service dog, Mango with her. Instead she becomes a Time Mariner. In one fateful mission she learns her brother, West is in danger. She knows she'll have to go up against some powerful people, but she must save him.
Brilliant storytelling!! Viral Nation is an excellent read. A story of many things, but mostly of time travel, doing the right thing and revolution. I was absolutely enthralled with this story, it's one of the most original and intriguing stories I've read this year. Readers will find themselves rooting for Clover and her friends. She is quite an exceptional character. Shaunta Grimes has created frightening world, but I loved visiting it and can't wait to visit again. A must read for Dystopian fans. (less)
