Hannah has a wonderful writing voice. She is honest, funny and holds nothing back. She talks about everything she went through from Drugs, her eating disorder to having to deal with a monkey for a sister. I look forward to read more of her writing....more

I wrote for years and years after that and even got a few published. But since becoming obsessed with books I haven't done much writing. But when I was offered to review this book, I grabbed at the chance.
Poetry Speaks Who I Am is a wonderful book, this is type of tool I wish I had back when I was learning about poetry. In this book there are some of the greatest poets and some of my favorites. Some of the poets included are Maya Angelou, Edgar Allen Poe, Langston Hughes, John Keats, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and William Shakespeare. Not only does it hold all these great poets but it also comes with a CD with some of the featured authors reading their work. Plus in the back of the book there is space to write your own words. While this is aimed for young adults., I believe readers of all ages will enjoy this book....more

But it's true she was a new author to me when I was offered to review The Grand Sophy, which I automatically fell in love with. During the span of her career Ms. Heyer wrote 26 books that were set during the Regency period, her books are popular through out the world. If you didn't know the Regency period lasted from 1811-1820. Such a short period of time, but a very much loved one. It has inspired many writers to set their story in this time.
Georgette Heyer's Regency World is a detailed companion of everything you'd want to know about the Regency period. I don't read non-fiction much, but I really enjoyed this guide. I love this time period and learned so much more about a different array of topics. The information is in abundance. This book is a good tool to have when you are reading one of Ms. Heyer's book. Some of the topics that are discussed are the Social Ladder, the Marriage Mart, Gretna Green to fashions of the time, shopping, military- A Who's Who in the Regency, plus many more subjects that will delight readers. Whether your a fan of Georgette Heyer or just a fan of the Regency period you'll find yourself enthralled with this book....more

Going in ofSeveral months ago I sat down to watch The Runaways (the movie) staring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. I ended up really enjoying it. Going in of course I knew about Joan Jett (I love her stuff) and I knew the song Cherry Bomb, but I didn't know much about the band itself or their history.
I was intrigued enough to picked up Cherie Currie's Neon Angel, the book the movie was based on. It's rare for me to read a memoir but I definitely wanted to learn more. I was absolutely enthralled with this book. Cherie's story is exciting, horrifying, inspirational and above all honest. It was shocking to see how much this girl/woman went through, especially at such a young age. Really it's a miracle she's alive today. Although it wasn't easy and took a few tries, she was able to drag herself out of the black hole she was in and land in a better place. ...more
I don't speak French nor have I ever been to Paris, but I have always want to visit. Like Ms. Thomas I'm a bit of a sweet fanatic. So, while this book isn't my normal genre - it was the perfect read for me.
I loved this book! Paris & desserts - what more can you ask for. I pretty much drooled my way through Paris, My Sweet. It was delectably delicious. Ms. Thomas's writing is fresh and fun. I adored the details. The author writes in a way that makes you feel like you are in Paris too. Experiencing everything as she does. This is a must read for foodies and travel fans. ...more

It's about how one stubborn cat saved a man's life.
I started watching My Cat From Hell last year. Being a cat person I was instantly enthralled with the show and the host. Both are very interesting - so I knew this book was gonna be a must read. Jackson's story is beautiful, shocking, heartbreaking and inspiring. Along with Jackson's life experiences in the book there are cat tips that are very helpful. This should be a must read for all cat lovers.

The books came to my attention when I was dealing with depression. It felt amazing to fall into Harry's world and escape. If it weren't for the books I would have no TBR List a mile long or be running a book blog. So, Thank you Mr. Potter!
Dear Mr. Potter is heartwarming and heartbreaking. This is a book every Potter fan should read. If you do get the chance, make sure to have some tissues handy. Each letter is quite moving. I loved reading all these letters and stories, it's such a good feeling, knowing that there are others out there that have been moved by these books. A wonderful sense of community. ...more
