Don't waste your time with it, I promise you you'll regret it. The book was about a girl with an obsessed ex boyfriend who controlled her every move. After a huge mysterious event involving said ex boyfriend she leaves to a far off place Bishop Rock. The book is written in a unique way were one chapter is the present and the next chapter is her talking about when she was home with Christian (her now ex boyfriend). I found myself dragging through the PRESENT parts to get to the interesting Christian parts but even they became dull quickly. When I got through one third of the book I knew already I hated this book and knew it would be a challenge to get past it. Ironically enough the main character Clara said the same thing about a book she was reading.
I trudged on through the dull characters, with no cliffhangers, no mysteries just bland emotionaless pages telling me a story but not showing a story not making me feel conected. Finally the last fifty pages were infront of me and it finally became a tad bit more interesting. It still involved the flat characters, flat emotions of love, etc. but at least I was at the end where two mysteries were finally answered in a terrible way and I got to close the book and put it up for swapping so I would never have to see it's horriblenss on my shelf again....more

So here I am again reviewing a book that only recieved TWO STARS.
Once in a Full Moon is about a girl named Celeste Parker. Celeste lives in the town of Legend's Run on the east side. The town is split in half east and west and the sides don't mix. Both sides go to the same high school. A new westsider moves into town and Celeste is automatically drawn to him for reasons she doesn't know. Her eastside friends frown upon the new student but Celeste trys again and again for them to accept Brandon, the new westsider. She finds herself pulling away from her 'perfect' boyfriend Nate and falling for Brandon. Who just so happens to turn into a werewolf. Don't worry I didn't ruin anything it says it right on the back of the book.
Alright I just finished Lost it by Kristen Tracy, and Fallen by Lauren Kate. All three of these books have a few things in common. One they make the main characters look VERY pathetic and obsessed with guys, two they all fall in love WAY to soon, three there's never any real mystery, and four they sucked.
This book had Twilight written all over it. A BAD version of Twilight. Suddenly Celeste just loves some random guy and the whole werwolf bit was rushed horribly and left me thinking, okay so what was the point of me continuing to read this book if I knew from before I even opened that Brandon was a werewolf and Celeste would fall in love with him? And what is up with the shallow love these days?! Every guy in books now-a-days is dreamy, with his eyes and his smell and his hair his perfection blablablabla. I'm sick of it. And the girls being pathetically in love and well just pathetic. Grow some back bone or better yet some balls of your own! Grow some character these characters in this story just like so many others (including the ones I listed in here) are all FLAT. I don't care for any of them. They could all have not been written and my life might have even been better.
So overall an unoriginal, badly written waste of $8.99 and my precious time....more

I'm not sure when I picked this book up but I'm pretty sure it was right before the whole twilight craze. I tend to do that often, read a book and suddenly it's the next biggest motion picture. Anyways I picked it up and sat down on my couch and didn't move for hours.
For some reason this paranormal romance idea was new to me I had just come out of reading all realistic fiction and I fell in love with Edward and Bella. I won't even go into what the first book is about you already know. A human falls in love with a vampire who sparkles. If you hate Twilight you have better have tried reading it before hating it. It was a nice romance and a fresh idea on vampires.
Now in my defense I've never gotten through the second book. I believe this is only because I've seen the movies and know exactly what's going to happen. I don't have the attention span to get through it. I understand people don't like change but if every vampire story was similar if some didn't sparkle we'd be pissed as readers. Readers need new ideas, new twists, every idea has been done so it needs to be redone. So yes, vampires can sparkle!
Also it's obvious that Bella would get so much attention from guys. I get tons of attention from tons of guys so it's not weird for a girl to have all these boys all over her! I can't stand how people think that's weird. Imagine being with a very low amount of children in your school and always being with the same kids growing up. Tommy and Ben, Sally and Sue are bound to get boring so a fresh cute face is definitly going to attract the boys. And girls if you saw a new stud walking the halls you KNOW you'd be all over that so don't even....more

I wanted to but I didn't have enough for that many books so when I went again I just had to pick it up. It was like a book written perfectly for me. I love Louisiana and it being a fantasy story about gods and mystery it was perfect. The pace was great and I never wanted to put it down. Everything is explained and their are no lose ends everything comes together with no unanswered queastions. The end does have a nice cliffhanger though making you want to rip open the next book and devour it as well in a day or two.
The story is about a 17 year old girl who was adopted she knows nothing of her past but she has always been different with her silver hair and violet eyes. She goes to New2 Louisiana after three hurricanes. There she gangs up with other 'different' kids from New2 to discover who she is. It includes a nice little romance although I thought it was slightly flat definitly lacking depth. One second he hates her and the next he's in love the next he's scared of her and the next he's back. I wish he had more depth Ari had a great amount of depth. But the romance was just thrown in there I wish it was a bigger portion of it.
Overall a great read, and I would recommend to everybody who loves fantasy....more

The main character makes out a few tapes with thirteen people assigned to all of them. Each person she sends it to must listen to the tapes of why she killed herself and how they relate and pass them along.

You are just as I remembered, AMAZING!
A year or two ago I read this book. Let's just say RIGHT after I went and bought as much of the series as I could. I'm not one to buy books full price, these I did! I even have a few in hardcover because I couldn't wait for the paperback! I began reading Bloodlines and realized I should probably brush up on my VA. So I went back and began reading all over again.
Dimitri you are still a sexy beast in my eyes! Team Dimitri for the win!
Rose you still need to get yourself in control my dear!
This is a book like none other that I have read. Where dhampirs protect Mori vampires. Train to guard them for the rest of their life's against Strigoi (the bad kind of vampire).
It's a fast read, with romance, awkward moments, action, and suspense. If you don't enjoy this one, try the second. Don't give up just yet :).
I also LOVED that Richelle Mead had the balls to swear! It was so realistic. ...more

Every time I go to a bookstore and see these books, especially NEW additions to this series I die a little inside.
How did this happen? How did this get published?! How DARE YOU PUBLISH THIS! This is worse than all the free self published e-books I have EVER read.
I really, REALLY wanted to like these books. I mean look at the gorgeous covers on them!!!! It's a tragedy something so beautiful can hide something so very evil.
I hate, hate, HAAAATE this book. Some stereotypical bimbo teenager helped her mom write this book and she sounds like a cheesy teen flick like O.M.G! aha! -.-. Don't read this if you have any brains at all, you WILL lose IQ points I promise. Duuuh!....
I actually enjoyed Twilight. Well at least the first book than the whole fan craze occurred and the movies came out. I tried to get through the second book but the magic had died. So even for someone who enjoyed the first book of Twilight this book made me want to well...
Tell me you like this book, and thought it was written well... and well

Fallen is about a girl Luce Price who goes to a boarding school after a horrible accident and instantly has a love at first site experience with Daniel Grigori. Daniel want's nothing to do with Luce but Luce feels like she's loved him forever and can't stop trying to get closer and closer to him. She knows he's hididng a dark secret and she wont rest until she discovers it.
So overall it was an interesting read but you know that fufilling happy dream like state you find yourself in after reading a GREAT book? Yeah, not here. I feel like the whole story was dragged on not to the point of being boring but to the point where the answer was at the very end and didn't go into depth enough at all. Everything up to the last two chapters was just one big queastion. Usually the problem is solved at the end and maybe a nice cliffhanger but this time it just seemed rushed unsolved and the cliffhanger made you interested but also look at your shelf of other books that you may want to read insted of the next in the Fallen series.
Another thing I had a huuuuge problem with and what agrees with most of the other reviews. This whole Cam Daniel thing was anoying. Like want to bash someones head in anoying. I would have loved if Luce was actually torn between Cam and Daniel like I'm pretty sure the author Lauren Kate wanted it to be but it didn't happen. Luce never liked Cam at all she was magically attracted to him but hated him? If he was really that ahem charasmatic you think he'd have more game. I don't care if a girls in love with one boy completely ususally she can still fall for another somewhat. It would have made the whole fight between the two boys much better as well as the cliffhanger ending.
And lastly besides the anoying unfulfilling romance and the long to come but rushed ending. Luce was pathetic. I loved her until she became completely in love with Daniel. There is a difference between pathetically in love with someone and just pathetic. She embarassed herself all of the time and acted like a complete moron! How could Daniel ever love someone like that?! I don't care how in love I've been with a man I've never acted that stupid. Yes I have blonde moments, etc. and get all blushed up but really? Come on now! Ugh. I'm just gonna stop there. Really. I hate when girls are that pathetically in love. It's one thing when their still strong and in love but that is just, no.
Overall read it it's not terrible. If you're looking for that paranormal romance that'll fill you up maybe don't read this quite yet. I'm hoping the next book will be better in all aspects exspecailly the love portion. ANd I know people said Twiligt fans will love it but hey I even loved the first Twilight and this just eh....more
