The relationship with them was very sweet, even with the heroes profession...I won't spoil it you have to read it. Plus, the heroine is 10 years older than he is, and I thought that was a fresher storyline than normal. (less)

The Countess's Pleasure by Emma Holly First, let me say I am normally not an Emma Holly fan. I have read a few stories by her, and some are better than others..having said that, I really liked this story. Set in victorian times in a place called Bhamjran...Georgiana, a young widow, travels there for adventure. She comes across a show in which a very handsome Yama or Demon is performing. Amazed by him, and his sensual performance she gives him an offer he can't refuse. I only wish the story had been longer. I really liked the hero and heroine together, but even though the story is short, it is well written and very enjoyable.
The Breed Next Door by Lora Leigh This story is the reason I bought this book. I am a Lora Leigh fan, and she does not dissappoint with this one! I only wish the story was longer. I really enjoy the breed books and anyone who likes this series will really like this story. What sets it aside from the others is the humor. Tarek and Lyra really have a great rapport and find humor in the way they communicate with one another. This story also shows how difficult the breeds may have fitting in the outside world.
The Blood Kiss By Shiloh Walker This story started off a little slow for me, but quickly picked up the pace and I ended up really liking it also. Roman is king of the werewolves. His brother has been kidnapped by the King of the Vampires. Vampires and Werewolves are sworn enemies. To save his brother, Roman decides to kidnap the Vampire Kings daughter...Julianna. Instead, he ends up befriending her and since she does not approve of her father's behavior, she sets out to help him. Once again, the relationship between Roman and Julianna is very sweet and sensual. This story will not disappoint.
The only story I had problems with was Falling for Anthony by Meljean Brook. It just didn't hold my interest. It needs a larger format than a short story premises. I hope ya'll give this book a try. Even those who don't like Paranormal books will enjoy this one. It was well worth the read and quite enjoyable-especially for an anthology.

Some of y'all know that I went over 4 years without picking up a book, so when I started reading again in August, I was behind (and still am) with series books. In all honesty, I put reading this book off because I thought I would expect too much from it. All of the hype about it leads you to believe that it is unfailingly awesome...well it was. I loved both Wrath and Beth. In my opinion they couldn't have been matched better. Wrath is a one of the most interesting heroes I have read in a long time. He is so alpha, but yet one of the most loving man...er vampire I have read about in a long time. Some of comments he made to Beth was so heartfelt and wonderful, I found myself envious of her. Wow. I can't wait to read the next one. I'll be starting it tonight. You girls were right. This book was AWESOME:)(less)

Honestly, the other paranormal books I have read in the past few months have paled in comparison to these books so far. What makes it so different is the camaraderie between the Brothers and the heroes themselves are so unique in their own way. Rhage is such a womanizer. I really didn't know if I would like him or not. But, as the storyline progressed and his true nature starts to reveal itself, he was easily one of my favorite heroes of all time. He definately rates top 5 easily. For such a bad-ass, he was so tender and loving with Mary. His sacrifice at the end for her was amazing. I loved him. He is worthy of a happily ever after. Mary is another really well written heroine. I really liked her. I felt her insecurities, her hope that she may get better and the love she had for Rhage and the beast within him. Get your tissues out girls because I cried in this book. When Mary finally breaks down in front of Rhage, I literally had to put the book down and wipe my eyes for several minutes. It's not all sadness and tears. It has some very funny moments in it. It is just the total package all around. Gosh between Wrath and Rhage I don't know which one I liked the best. Now I am off to read Z's story...I have a feeling I will like this one too! (less)

I have read several reviews, and have seen posts crying out for JR Ward to re-write this book. That Vishous was cheated out of a mate...they hate/or hate that Jane ended up like she did. I am not one of those people. I really loved this book. Yes, it is not the easy happily ever after that we are used to, but dang...it was still good. Plus, I know that everything happens for a purpose with this series...there is a REASON that it ended the way it did. (I am really trying not to spoil anything...lol) I thought Vishous and Jane were a very compelling couple. Honestly, I really never cared for Vishous before. He was not my favorite Brother (I have a thing for Rhage, Wrath and Phury...oh hell I love them all)...and his obvious feelings for Butch in the previous novels didn't really give me the impression he was going to find a female mate that would be suitable for him. Personally, after reading this book I found that Vishous is probably the most tortured, misunderstood brother to date. The things he endured and the scars he bares because the the cruelty that was unleashed on him was unbearable...no wonder he was so untrusting of others. Jane was perfect for him. She is smart, sarcastic and sees Vishous as he is. I really loved them together, and once again the character development was well thought out. They both changed, they grew together and I loved how their relationship developed. I simply loved this book, and I can't WAIT to read PHURY'S...ugh that man...er vampire...drives me crazy! I am really curious to see what y'all thought of this one. Did you love it like me, or were you disappointed???(less)

The love between Dawn and Seth is very apparent throughout the book. This is evidenced by how they treat one another and try to work together, instead of against each other. ,Seth is definately a "sweeter" hero, but still alpha enough to take control, and help the woman he loves get over the horrible things that had been done to her in the past. He was very romantic. He was very loving and supportive. He would do things to remind him of her..(the soap blew me away...if I say more about that I will spoil it, but trust me it's very sweet) Who wouldn't love him? Dawn was also a great heroine. She's strong, couragous, and fights for her man. I liked that her stubborn, smart-ass self would do typical heroine behavior..like cut off their nose to spite their face. My one gripe about this book is unlike the Ellora's Cave breed books, the sex in if is not as hot, but I guess when you go mainstream, you can't be as explicit. Otherwise, both Dawn and Seth were very likeable and will not disappoint. (less)
