Mason is a well sought out model that has just come out of rehab. Since the model industry has a reputation of being attached with drugs and booze, he is taken by his friend and agent to stay at a beach house in Morro Bay, so he can continue his recovery. Bored and alone, Mason fills his time running on the beach and exploring his new temporary home. One day, Mason spots a very handsome man at the grocery store. Just when Mason thinks he's going to approach him, the man is approached by a young woman, and Mason believes that the man is probably straight and taken.
John was once a firefighter who truly loved his job. Unfortunately, he was injured on the job site, and now is a best selling author. Even though he loves his house by the beach, he sometime misses his life before his injury. When he spots Mason walking on the beach he’s immediately captivated by the man’s beauty. As fate would have it, John’s dog intervenes and the two men meet and soon fall in love. But, when the summer is over, and Mason is asked to return to the limelight, will his feelings for John be enough to choose to stay with John, or will he return to the spotlight?
I loved this book, although I admit I love all of Shawn’s books. As usual, her characterization is amazing. Both Mason and John are broken heroes in their own way, and they must work through their own demons so they can have a loving and fulfilling relationship. I loved both heroes and both were easy to identify with. Even though Mason is uber gorgeous, he is still a likeable and wonderfully lifelike character. I thought both he and John brought out the best in one another and I was truly amazed at the love they found in each other’s arms. (less)

Not only is this book a well balance of having a strong plot and well written characters; I was surprised by the intensity and the amazing love that the two heroes shared together. This is a book that lived with me long after I finished it. I absolutely loved it, and I highly recommend it.
Ori Jones feels like the rug has been pulled out from under him. Ori recently found out that he is an Avian shape-shifter. Because he hasn’t reached his ‘maturity’ for an Avian shifter; he was only able to do a partial shift. The elders have guessed that he will be a duck, which is considered an inferior, sub-servant breed of the avian species. Until then, he is to work and stay in an avian club called the “nest”. This is basically fine with Ori. He enjoys being submissive, but he doesn’t enjoy the taunts and teasing he receives by the other shifters, and is having some difficultly coming to terms with his new life.
After dealing with some vicious name calling and a mean prank, Ori literally stumbles in front of the gorgeous and powerful hawk-shifter, Raynard. Raynard is a very dominant shifter, but he is a very fair one as well. As soon as meets Ori, there is something about the small “ugly duckling” shifter that calls to Raynard’s dominant/protective side. Raynard feels a connection with the sweet sub servant Ori and he decides to take him home and under his wing.
As Raynard and Ori’s relationship begins to take shape, a strong bond forms between them. Raynard teaches Ori to be proud of his avian species and his natural submissive nature. But, just as they come to comfortable terms with the way they feel about each other, and the roles of their relationship; Ori is due to complete his first shift in front of the elders. But, as soon as Ori shifts; everything changes. The roles of their relationship, and the love they feel for one another is put to the ultimate test.
I loved this book! I adored both Ori and Raynard and I absolutely loved them together. They fit perfectly together. Even though there is quite an array of interesting secondary characters, I appreciated that Ori and Raynard’s relationship really dominated the book. The way their relationship evolves throughout the story is very well paced and is written in a way that I felt an easy connection with them. I quickly rallied behind them both as individual characters and as a couple and rooted for their happiness from the very beginning of the story. I would like to point out that there is a D/s relationship between Ori a Raynard. Even though there is a strong BDSM theme in this book, it is not written in an over the top manner that might offend some readers. If you haven’t read any homoerotic/BDSM themed books before, and have thought about trying out the genre, Duck! would be a great book to try out the genre with.
I’ve read several books by Kim Dare and I’ve enjoyed all of them. I can easily say that Duck! is my favorite book that has been written by her, and I’m looking forward to reading more creative, sweet and sexy stories from her.

Snow is AMAZING and took me by complete surprise! It’s hard to believe the book falls just under sixty pages, because it really packs an emotional punch. I thought the plot was creative and very thought provoking. It’s a story that stayed with me hours after I finished it.
The story is a combination first and third person. At the beginning of the story it’s told by David’s point of view, and then it changes to third person so we can follow the lives and strange happenings of David’s friends. You would think that this would be confusing, or would take away from the story, but it does not.
David and his three friends Fallon, Todd and Jake call themselves The Hunt Club. Now even though David is part of this group, he’s not as shallow as the other men, nor is he as judgmental or promiscuous as his three friends. He’s definitely appalled by some of his friends’ shallow behavior, but he hangs out with the three mainly because of an unrequited love he has for one of them.
All of the men in the Hunt Club are very successful, sexy, handsome gay men. One of the favorite things the men like to do is to talk about other peoples imperfections. They are sarcastic and say hurtful things about other gay men who they don’t feel measure up to their scale of attractiveness or standards of living. One night David and the three men are at their favorite night club, and as many times before, the three men are falling into the same pattern of snide comments and put downs of other patrons there.
When the men spot the most gorgeous man they’ve ever seen walk into the club, the three shallow men make their way over to him at the bar, and all three men make failed passes at the sexy man. David is embarrassed by their behavior and is more interested in watching another equally quiet and sexy man watch these friends make total fools of themselves over the gorgeous man.
David strikes up a conversation with the sexy man and he tells David that he had heard all of the hurtful and terrible things his three friends had said about others before the gorgeous man walked in. He then tells David that the gorgeous man his friends are making a pass at is his husband, and he thinks the men need to learn a lesson from their inappropriate behaviors.
Then the fun really begins.
That’s when the story switches off of the first person narrative. It’s a month later and we then follow the story of the three men Fallon, Todd and Jake. They now have an unusual skin condition on their faces. It looks to be in between a burn and a rash. The strange thing about their skin condition is not only do they see it, but the handsome men they usually go for it can see it as well, so they are now treated as badly as they treated others. But, to most other people, they either don’t see it at all or it’s very faint.
All three men must learn to look and within themselves and find their self worth. Since they are no longer considered beautiful, their perception of outer beauty changes and they start noticing the beauty that’s within other people.
I loved this book! I think we’ve all known shallow and superficial people who often say and do hurtful things to others. It was very interesting to read what would happen if everything they took for granted changed, and they saw things with a fresh set of eyes. It reminded me of what my mother used to tell me. As a child, she’d tell me a story and always at the end she’d say, “Now what is the moral to the story?” and it would make me think about what lesson I’d learned from the story she’d told. Just like my old bedtime stories, Fugly definitely has a ‘moral’ or lesson learned from the story, that I think everyone will appreciate.
I can’t recommend this book high enough. For those who has never read a gay romance before, but has been thinking of trying it out, this would be an awesome book to try it out. Even though there is drama and some angst, there are some light and funny moments in the book as well.
I can’t believe that this is the first book I’ve read that’s been written by K.Z. Snow! Believe me when I say, I’m about to change that as soon as I finish writing my review. I really enjoyed Ms. Snow’s style of writing. Its easy style and witty undertone made it flow smoothly throughout the book. I’m definitely looking forward to reading other works written by her!
I wasn’t able to find a website for Ms. Snow, but I did find her blog which looked to be very interesting. Here is the link if you want to check it out: http://kzsnow.blogspot.com/

I was captivated with both heroes from the first page and I happily read the book through to the last page without interruption.
Lord Northrup, Earl of Stafford or Peter to his close friends has lived a somewhat cynical and colorless existence. As a young man he’d wished to find his own Prince Charming. But, as he’s gotten older, he’s given up finding true love and actually being able to live in happiness and harmony with another man. Because his attraction to other men is taboo within polite society, he must pick and trust his friends wisely. Like himself, most of his friends have two different lives they live; one they show to the ton… and the life they really live away from the glitz and gossipmongers of polite society.
When Peter gets an invitation to one of Edward and Euphemia Pratt’s erotic parties, he of course knows he must go. The Pratt’s parties are known to be one long erotic weekend of nothing but sex and debauchery. Peter arrives late at the Pratt’s home and shows himself to a room that he’s always given to stay in. When he sees a younger, handsome man in his bed, he immediately believes that the sexy man is a gift for him from the Pratts. But, once the young man gets over his initial shock, Peter quickly realizes that he’s been mistaken on which weekend the party is to be given, and that the sweet man is really just a friend of the Pratt’s son.
Stephen Peregrine comes from a very humble home. His father grew up penniless, but has built his successful business from the ground up, and he expects Stephen to follow in his footsteps. Stephen attends Cambridge and is grateful for the mini-reprieve he’s been given from having to do his duty at home and with the family business. When his best friend, Brian Pratt, invited him to his parent’s house for the weekend, Stephen was glad to have the break. Little did he know that night he would have a sexy, handsome man visit his bedchamber and give him the reality of the forbidden dreams he’s always wanted…to have another man make love with him and hold him in his arms.
Even though Peter had mistakenly entered Stephen’s bedchamber, they end up having a steamy night of passion and tenderness. Peter is immediately captivated by the young and naïve Stephen, but knows he must try to keep the man at arms length or he could easily lose his heart to the gorgeous man. He makes himself have a somewhat blasé attitude about their night together and leaves the young man behind without looking back. But, Peter knows that somehow Stephen has melted the ice that has been surrounding his heart for all of his adult life.
Now months later, Peter is unable to get Stephen out of his mind. When he runs into him again, he knows must set out to amend the drift he’s made between them and trust the affection and budding love they have with each other. Will Stephen forgive Peter’s past callous attitude and build a future for them together?
I loved this book! I admit that reading a historically set gay romance is a tricky sell for me. Since homosexual relationships were taboo and even illegal back then, it’s difficult to believe the heroes truly are able to achieve a happy ending together. I’m delighted to say that I loved the ending to Seducing Stephen, and I thought it was very believable, too.
The characterization in this book is amazing. Not only were Peter and Stephen well rounded characters, both of them evolved and changed into happier, more well balanced people as the book progressed. They really bring out the best in each other. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them change before my eyes, and I rejoiced when they were able to find a way to not only accept and support one another for who they are, but also was able to find their happy ending together.
If you’re looking for a fresh and past-paced homoerotic romance, this book is definitely for you! I’m happily putting Seducing Stephen on my keeper shelf, where I’ll get to enjoy their story again and again for many years to come! I’m looking forward to reading many more books by these authors and I hope they co-write another book together really soon.

Not only has his parents practically disowned him; his friends from his hometown have turned their backs on him too. Since Milo is only eighteen, he’s trying to save some money so he can attend college and have the independent life that he craves. He’s working full shifts as a waiter, and living with his older brother, Dante.
One afternoon, Milo spots an older, handsome man sitting alone at the restaurant he works at. When one of his fellow co-workers notices Milo’s attraction to the handsome customer, he dares Milo to approach the man and ask him out. Since Milo thinks he doesn’t have anything to lose, he approaches the attractive man and fumbles badly by giving the man a terrible come on line. The man looks insulted, gives Milo a few choice words, and leaves without a second glance. Milo feels not only humiliated for being turned down, he’s disappointed as well.
As soon as Milo gets off of work, he knows he needs to do something to get his mind off of being rejected. Since one of his friends work at a local hotel, Milo’s friend allows him to swim in the pool at night. Milo knows this will be a great way for him to blow off some steam and hopefully help him forget the handsome man at the restaurant. Milo is in the middle of swimming some laps when someone else gets into the pool with him. To his utter disbelief, it is the gorgeous man who shot him down at the restaurant just hours before, and it looks like the older man has changed his mind about Milo’s earlier proposition.
Campbell “Cam” Brooks is just in town for a few days. When he realizes the hot young man in the pool is the same one that approached him at the restaurant, it doesn’t take a lot of persuasion for him to change his mind about hooking up with Milo. Cam has no intention of getting serious with anyone; especially with a man who is eight years younger than he is. But, as Cam and Milo start spending time together they both realize that they have more in common than they thought, and there is something very special growing between them.
But, between money issues, fear of commitment, the age difference and being in a long distance relationship make both Cam and Milo realize that there are many obstacles that can keep them from having a relationship together. As both men work through their own set of insecurities and issues, they have to decide if having that once in a lifetime love, is truly worth all the hard work and taking a chance for after all.
I loved this book! Milo does a lot of growing up in this book. In the beginning of the book he was a semi-immature eighteen year old, but as the story progressed; his character slowly evolves to a more mature and well balanced character. At first, I wasn’t sure about Milo being with the older and more mature Cam, but the sexual chemistry and the emotional pull they had between them, soon made me see that they not only brought out the best in one another, I felt they truly belonged together as well.
Ms. Young is a master at writing erotic moments between her characters. Not only are the sex scenes intense and beautifully written, the emotional bond between Milo and Cam jumped off of the pages and into my heart. I soon found myself rallying behind both Milo and Cam, and I rejoiced when they found the happiness they deserve to have together.
Reckless Heart is the fourth book in the ‘Reckless’ series. I think this book can easily be read as a stand alone if you haven’t read the entire series. I do recommend that the series be read because all of the main characters do play a part in the final book, and the series itself is truly an amazing one. Even though I was ecstatic that all of the characters in the “Reckless” series had such a solid and happy ending in the epilogue, it was also a little bittersweet for me too. I truly hated to say goodbye all of the characters I’ve grown rather fond of, and to see this wonderful series come to an end.

But, one of my favorite things about her writing is her versatility to tell many different types of stories. The great thing about reading a book written by Shawn is that you never know what you’re going to get. I honestly can’t decide if I prefer her lighter, sweeter stories or her angsty dramatic ones. One of the best things about Shawn’s books is that there is something for everyone’s taste.
Patrick has been living with the burden of a guilty conscience. Ever since his lover committed suicide three years ago, he’s been plagued with the guilt over his death and the events that led up to it.
But, that’s not Patrick’s only problem.
He’s also been in love with his childhood friend, Josh, who also happens to be his ex-lover’s cousin. Every year on the eve of his ex-lover’s death, Patrick finds himself at Josh’s bar and gets rip roaring drunk because it was always a safe place to hang out and remember the good times they all shared together.
Josh has watched Patrick grieve for three years and he’s had enough of it. Josh knows it’s time for Patrick to stop feeling guilty over his cousins suicide, and rejoin the land of the living again…after Patrick’s yearly drunken ritual of course.
Josh takes the drunken Patrick home and they end up in a passionate embrace. This brings the feelings they have for one another to the surface. Will they be able to work through fear and guilty feelings and trust in the love that they have for each other?
I love Shawn’s heroes. Even though they are always very sexy and unique they all have a quality of being humanly flawed. Watching Josh work through his fear of commitment and his feeling of betrayal by Patrick (read the book) rang very true to life for me. Patrick’s unrequited feelings for Josh and the guilt he felt for having them made my heart break for him. I understood why he felt guilty over his ex-lover’s death, and I was glad to see both heroes work through their own issues so they could find the happy ending they deserve.
I loved this book! I loved the sexy bar scene, (again, read the book) and I loved Josh and Patrick. Pieces definitely has earned a permanent spot on my keeper shelf and I’m really looking forward to reading it over and over for many years to come. (less)

Not only was I immediately caught up in the mystery about Kenji’s past; I fell in love with the heroes, Kenji and Jake. The intense emotional connection between them kept me enthralled with the story early on in the book and left me with a very satisfied feeling at the end of it.
Kenji doesn’t remember who he is. From the moment he woke up on a strange planet with nothing but a gold statue in his possession, everything that happened before that event in his life is nothing but a blank. Kenji is haunted by this reoccurring dream about being saved by a faceless man, but other than that, Kenji has no idea about the life he led before. He’s taken under the wing of some nice people, and to make ends meet, he takes a job as a bartender at a local dive.
Even though Kenji gets hit on by men all the time, he can’t bring himself to sleep around with just anyone. Even though he has no idea about his past, he feels like he hasn’t been involved in a relationship before, and is determined to wait until he feels something special and have an emotional connection with someone instead of just sleeping around.
Jake Fallon is an Intersteller Patrol cop. His job keeps him busy fighting evil from different universes. Because of this, Jake really hasn’t been able to have many successful relationships, nor has he been able to make a house a home. Instead he lives off a small aircraft alone and this causes him to have a lonely life. When Jake first lays eyes on the mysterious and exotic looking Kenji, he’s immediately smitten with him. There is something about the sweet, sexy, innocent and mysterious Kenji that calls to Jake’s heart.
As the men just start getting to know each other, Kenji’s life becomes in grave danger. To keep Kenji from harm, Jake whisks him away on his aircraft and both men become determined to solve the mystery of Kenji’s past for they can hopefully have a future together.
Both Kenji and Jake ended up being very fascinating characters. You would think that because of Jake’s job, he would have been some hard-nosed cop who would have been hard to love. Wrong…he was tender, loving and smart and his inner strength and determination to do the right thing made him the perfect man for the sweet and sexy Kenji. I easily rallied behind both men and I rejoiced at the ending they shared at the end of their story.
I admit that Science Fiction based homoerotic romances aren’t usually my favorite books to read, but as usual, Ms. Guillone, swept me away in the love that Kenji and Jake shared between them. Plus, the mystery behind Kenji’s past kept me intrigued throughout the book. Fallon’s Jewel is a very fast paced read and I loved every minute of it!

Her newest book, Still the One, is a continuation of one of my favorite couples Malcolm and Dusty. We first met them in her hot and sexy Christmas story, The Best Gift, which brought cheer and happiness to my holiday season.
Still the One begins five years after The Best Gift left off. Malcolm and Dusty have had good years together, but their relationship has come to a crossroad. Both men are dedicated not only to each other, but to their careers. When a once in a lifetime opportunity comes for Malcolm, he must leave Dusty to pursue his dreams. But, as time wears on the couple, is their love strong enough to beat the separation and the odds that are stacked against them?
I loved this book! This is a prime example why Shawn Lane is a favorite author of mine. The chemistry between Malcolm and Dusty is steamy hot! Her sex scenes are always turn on the air condition worthy! I swear I had to refill my iced tea twice while reading this book! Even more than the hot sex is the wonderful dialog and obvious affection and love Malcolm and Dusty have for one another makes Shawn stand out as one of my favorite M/M authors writing today.
Still the One could be read as a stand alone book, but if you haven't read The Best Gift, do yourself a favor and read it. You will fall in love with this couple just like I have!!

It is said that since the supposed suicide of one of history’s greatest poets, Viscount Eldon Davenport, that the house was plagued with the unease of the wailing apparition of the Viscount himself. Because of its notoriety and bad reputation, the gothic mansion has stood unoccupied for years.
Cameron McKenzie is a quiet and shy successful artist. He is considered dull by his peers because of his introverted personality and fear of speaking in public. For the few that actually have taken the time to become friends with him, he is warm, funny and a very loving person. For many years he has been drawn to Lillyporth House because of his favorite poet, Viscount Eldon Davenport, once resided there. Buying the house was just a natural decision for him to make and because of his love of Eldon’s work, he believed it would be his most prized possession.
Cameron doesn’t take a lot of stock in what people say about the haunting at Lillyporth, and about Eldon’s life. Supposedly, Eldon had been caught in a compromising position with the stable boy, and because of the scandal, he committed suicide almost immediately afterward. Cameron is more apt to believe the other rumors that Eldon was mentally ill and had a possible addiction to absinthe, than the outlandish ghost stories that are told about the house.
Cameron soon changes his mind once he moves in. It’s not long before he experiences the freezing temperatures, hears the horrible wailing through the walls and sees what looks like blood all over the walls and floors. He notices once he goes into a certain bedroom and just sits quietly as if to offer support and comfort, the wailing will stop. Exhausted he falls asleep and dreams of Eldon, and in his dreams they are together and in love. When Cameron awakes the handsome poet is in his arms, cold and still and he looks dead. This of course, freaks him out and he leaves what looks like Eldon’s corpse behind, locks the bedroom door and calls Trudy Garrett, who is a well known psychic and medium.
With some convincing, he is able to get Trudy to come to Lillyporth and check out what he is sure is Eldon’s dead body. When Trudy arrives she walks up to Eldon’s room and when she enters sees Eldon huddled up against the wall and looking very alive. After some comforting and motherly affection, she convinces Eldon that he is alive and safe. Eldon tells her he must find his love Cameron McKenzie and Trudy convinces him that Cameron too is safe, and she will bring him to him.
Cameron at first refuses to see Eldon. He’s afraid and doesn’t understand what’s going on. But, the charming and determined Eldon won’t take no for an answer. Soon, both men are finally together and realize that they have a true love that won’t be denied. But, there are people who would prefer that Eldon was back in his grave and will stop at nothing until they do so.
Liquid Glass is a wonderful book. It has a very complex storyline that is interesting and a very well paced throughout the novel. The plot is suspenseful and there is a nail-biting horror to it that entranced me from the first page to the last. But, the mystery and paranormal aspect wasn’t what made me love this book so much. It was the amazing characters in this story that took a hold of me, and didn’t let go. Of course, I adored the two heroes, Eldon and Cameron. Their love for one another was a beautiful thing to experience. Plus, the lyrical and stylish way that Mr. Priest writes brings you into the story easily, too.
There is really so much I could say about this book, because I’ve honestly just reviewed a small part of the story, but if I got into it too much, it would spoil the book, and that is something I do not want to do. I will say, if you are a fan of a ghost stories and believe in the power of true love, this book is definitely for you.

His book are a must buy for me because they make me feel all kinds of emotions when I read them. There is something about the way he connects us with his characters and brings us into their lives that really resonate with me.
Love Means Courage is a difficult book to review. I don't want to give much away about it so I've decided to just relate my feelings about this wonderful book without getting too much into the storyline.
Love Means Courage is actually the prequel to Love Means No Shame. I read Love Means No Shame first, because it's actually the first book in this series. Knowing what happens to Len and Cliff years down the line left me feeling bittersweet and melancholy throughout this book. I'm not saying it took away my enjoyment of reading their love story, but it definitely made an impact on my feelings toward Len and Cliff, and how much I enjoyed their story.
I can't recommend both Love Means No Shame and Love Means Courage enough. I do think they needed to be read in the order Mr. Grey intended, so don't cheat and try to read this one first!
There were several times throughout the book I found myself tearing up and cheering Cliff and Len on. I loved them. The connection they have with one another and the determination they have to be together and build a stable and happy family with each other and young Geoff was wonderful; despite the obstacles in their path and the things they had to overcome made me love them that much more.
I loved this book in general and I look forward to reading many more stories written by Mr. Grey in the future.

If you follow her blog, you know that Shawn's been teasing us for weeks with blurbs about this book. So you know as soon as it was released, it was a no brainer, I bought it immediately.
There's a reason why Shawn is a must buy author for me. She never fails at developing her characters into people that I care about. They are people whom I would cry with and comfort, laugh and kid around with, and just be proud to call them a friend. In Ticket to Ride, she continues this trademark of hers, but in addition to Chad and Jack being compelling characters, she throws in a murder mystery as well!
This was a very quick read for me and it's not because of the length of the book, but the story itself. The murder mystery and the emotionally charged romance was very fast paced and became quickly addictive to read, once I got started. I read Ticket to Ride in just one setting and I plan on reading it again before the week is over.
I have to admit that I immediately fell in love with Chad. He's sexy and a somewhat innocent character. As a rock star, you would expect him to be jaded and arrogant. Chad was not. He was continuously burned by a cheating ex-lover, and he beat a heavy drug addiction. This made him vulnerable in many ways. His inner strength and determination to better himself was very inspiring to read about. He struggles daily with the choices he's about to make; and has made in his life. He is wonderfully human and refreshingly different. I loved him.
Jack, on the other hand, was harder to love. Beneath his gruff like manner and somewhat cold exterior, lies a man who is very passionate and sexy, as the story unfolds. Jack's inner and outer strength, and confidence in who he is, as well as his survival and protective instincts, make him perfect for our sweet and sexy Chad.
I loved them together and I loved this book. I'm not going to get into the storyline because I don't want to spoil anything. I can only hope that Shawn writes more of these types of stories. She's got multiple talents as a writer, and writing a romantic suspense as good as this one proves she is extremely versatile as well.

Malcolm is my favorite kind of hero. He’s Sweet, Sexy and Smart! As usual, Shawn’s characterization is top notch. Once again, Shawn wrote a hero who is flawed, but he’s someone you can identify with and stand behind flaws and all. I loved how he is able to make positive changes in his life, and be open to Dustin and Dustin’s love.
I loved sweet Dusty, too! He’s another character I could easily identify with. We’ve all had that unrequited love in our past, but lucky for Dustin, he gets a second chance to win Malcolm’s heart forever.
I loved this book! I hated to see it come to an end. I’m hoping that one day Shawn will continue their story because I loved both Malcolm and Dusty and I’m dying to see how everything works out.

Bottled Up is no exception.
Sean’s life took a change for the better in one day. He saved homeless teenaged Bobby from being attacked behind his store, not knowing that just being around the sixteen year old boy would bring out parenting instincts he had thought he’d never had. While filing the police report he became acquainted with Officer Sam Davis, who is not only the nicest law enforcement officer he’s ever met, but he’s also the sexiest one, too.
When Sean finds out that Bobby has been lost in the foster care system, Sean immediately takes young Bobby in. They form a trust and bond with one another and soon both Sean and Bobby not only become like family and Sean takes measures into fostering Bobby and even adopting him.
While Sean and Bobby start forming a father-son relationship, Sean and Sam become close as well. Sam seems determined not only to have Sean in his life, and Bobby as well. As Sean and Sam get to know one another, Sam finds out that Sean has a tragic and somewhat mysterious past, that when is revealed just makes Sam love and want to protect Sean even more.
But, someone is out to kidnap Bobby, and Sean and Sam must deal with keeping Bobby safe, as well as Sean’s past, before they can become a family that all three of them long to be.
I really loved all the characters in this book. The character growth and development both Sean and Bobby experience after truly being accepted and showered with love changes both of them. All three characters are heroes in there own right, for what they overcome to become a family.
I loved Bottled Up. If you are looking for great characters that is easy to care about and a sweet and loving romance, Bottled Up is for you.

I’ve made it no secret that she’s an automatic buy for me. I’m one of the anxious people who await her next book, and as soon as it’s available, I buy it.
What I love about Shawn’s books is you never know what you’re going to get. She is very versatile when it comes to her writing and characterization. She can write a very sweet and loving romances and she can write emotionally driven romances that keep you glued to the computer screen. Since I’m a fan of both sweet romances and angst; well Shawn’s books will always be a hit with me.
There’s not much I can say about Sweet Reunion that hasn’t been said. Sandy wrote an awesome review on it, I encourage anyone who’s interested in reading Sweet Reunion to check it out.
The reason I really enjoyed Sweet Reunion is I felt that this book was much more than just romance. It’s a book about surviving abuse and salvaging relationships not only with lost loves, but with family, too. I thought Shawn really was able to get to the heart of the matter when it came to both, Jason’s relationship with his ailing mother and with his first and true love Danny. One of the best things about this book is the people that are in it. Not only did I root for Jason and Danny, but even the mysterious and sexy Jude as well. It was even fairly easy to empathize with Jason’s abused mother. I was particularly impressed with Jason’s willingness to forgive the past and move on, just to give his dying mother some peace and happiness, even if at first I wasn’t sure if she deserved it.
Most of all I loved Danny and Jason together. The chemistry and the heartfelt love between them was apparent from the moment they are reunited together. Danny’s sweetness and understanding throughout the book, makes me have a special place in my heart for him as well as Jason. I agree that the ending has more of a HFN ending, but it also had a HEA feel to it, too. It’s apparent that Danny and Jason belong together, so them working things out and staying together really wasn’t a question for me.
I know by Shawn’s blog: http://smlgr8.blogspot.com she is working on Jude’s story now. (Yay!) I know I’m really looking forward to reading more about Jude and hopefully about Jason and Danny, too.

I hold off reading their books until I need a really good pick me up, or I know I’m in the mood to read something I know I’ll love. This wasn’t so when I bought Tabloid Star! I immediately had to read it, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Josh Bauer is a very responsible man. He works three jobs to support himself, and to give most of the earnings he makes to his sister and her special needs son. Because of this, Josh hasn’t really had any relationships to speak of. Since one of his jobs is a bartender, he has a tendency to hook up with the clientele for a one night stand, but he’s never gotten emotionally involved with anyone. He simply just hasn’t met the right person, or had the time to put any effort into getting to know someone else to be involved with.
When Josh lays eyes on a very handsome man at the bar he works at, he immediately tries to hook up with him. Flirtatious bantering soon leads to a compromising position in the dark alley just outside the bar where Josh works. Unable to immediately allow the handsome man to leave, he finds out the handsome mans name is Ryan, and persuades Ryan to stay until he’s off of work so they can go to Josh’s home for a little more playtime together. Just as planned, Ryan follows Josh home, and they have a night of passion and fun together.
When Josh wakes up, Ryan is gone.
Even though Josh is a little disappointed he expected Ryan to leave, so he tries to shrug it off and chalks the time they had together as something he’ll think back and remember fondly.
What Josh didn’t expect was to see himself and Ryan on the front page of a gossip magazine in a passionate embrace for the world to see. What surprises Josh even more is Ryan isn’t just an anonymous face, he’s a pretty well known actor who has now been unofficially outted from the closet.
Ryan Keller has been steadily becoming Hollywood’s “it” guy. The last thing he needs is a scandal just when he’s starting to become very successful. Even though whatever is on the front page today will soon be yesterday’s news, Ryan is furious that the compromising pictures of him and Josh have surfaced, and forced him somewhat out of the closet, because Ryan up to this point, has been very cautious and careful to keep his sexuality under wraps. He’s had to sacrifice a lot for his craft, including having any kind of meaningful relationship or a partner to come home too.
Determined to find out who’s behind the camera, Ryan seeks Josh out just to see if Josh set him up and is somehow behind all of the publicity with disastrous results. As more pictures arise, both men are brought together to find out who is setting Ryan and Josh up.
I loved this book! Mr. Chase has a very special way of connecting two people together who otherwise would ever give one another the time of day. I love watching Josh and Ryan’s relationship build from friendship to a love that won’t be denied. I thought both Josh and Ryan were very realistically written with human fears and flawed personalities. I loved how they are able to fight through what could have been a very negative situation and found a beautiful love that enhances their lives and gives them the happy ending that they deserve.
To top off an otherwise great book, we get a cameo with the heroes from the book High Line, Garrett and CJ! It was wonderful seeing those two continuing to be happy with one another, and even being an inspiration for Ryan and Josh’s relationship. This was a very happy surprise and it made the ending so much sweeter than I was prepared for.

Is this the best murder mystery I've ever read? No. Did I figure out who really killed Sidney's boyfriend before the end of the book? Yes. But, I still loved every minute of it.
Sidney is a fashion model who is beautiful, self-centered, spoiled, a little bratty and in his own words "slutty" at times. Even though Sidney displays some bad behavior at the beginning of the book, believe it or not, I still loved him. He does evolve as the book changes and makes a huge effort to change and be a better person; especially for Greg.
Greg is the detective working on Sidney's boyfriends case. Of course the moment he first lays eyes on Sidney it's love at first sight. He's conflicted between his feelings for Sidney and being unbiased with the case. He's pretty straight-laced, serious and not the greatest communicator in the world, but I thought he was a perfect match for Sidney.
This book was a fun read. Perfect for an easy read on a stressful day. There is a very interesting secondary character named Chris that I hope Jade will write a story for.

I’ve been looking forward to reading this book since Shawn’s been giving us teasers about it on her blog. I knew that Kyle was going to be a very interesting character, but I had no idea how he would weasel his way into my heart, just like he did with the unsuspecting Dave in the story.
Now it’s not been a secret that I love Shawn’s heroes! Kevin from Car Wash is one of my all time favorite heroes. I have to say, Kyle is just as sexy, mysterious and is one of the most interesting heroes I’ve read in a long time.
When Dave closed down his bar for the night, he had no reason to suspect that this night would be any different than any other. But, when he comes across a young man being beaten, Dave immediately comes to the young man’s rescue and basically saves the younger man’s life.
Dave has become quite settled in his life. He’s an owner of a local bar, has some loyal friends, and has a good apartment. He didn't realize how lonely he truly was and how he had been just going through the motions, until he met and rescued Kyle.
Kyle is nothing like what Dave is normally attracted too. He’s eyeliner wearing, long-haired, beautiful-in-black Goth guy, and Dave is immediately smitten with him! Dave has an immediate and overwhelming urge to protect Kyle and take him under his wing, even if he doesn’t know anything about him.
Kyle and Dave’s relationship move at a very steady and fast pace. Both men fall for one another quickly, and it’s not long before they start bringing out the best in each other. But, Kyle is hiding something from Dave, and until he can be honest with Dave about the trouble he’s in, and the past he’s had, they will never find the peace and happiness they deserve.
I loved this book! If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would! It was the little things about Kyle and Dave’s relationship that won me over. From the sweet Christmas Dave was determined to give Kyle, to his determination to find the right color lipstick for him, I loved reading about them, and watching them form a bond that could not be broken.
Between the snappy rapport Kyle and Dave have, to the intense sexual chemistry between them, I was glued to this book from the first word to the last sentence. Kyle and Dave definitely have a very sexual and spicy love life and I loved it! WHEW! I had the air turned down so much; when my husband came home from work he couldn’t believe the house was so cold! (Don’t worry I blamed Shawn!) Oops!
Beyond the Norm is one of my favorite books. I already know that this will be a book I fall back on when I want to read about one of my favorite heroes and a sexy and sweet love story. I fell in love with Kyle and Dave and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I had with them.
Shawn has a great blog! She often gives away free books and teases us frequently with her upcoming releases! You can check it out at:

Kildaire, several things struck me about this wonderful book. It reminded me how much I miss reading historical romances. It’s unfortunate that there aren’t more historically based homoerotic romances available. I know it’s harder for the heroes to end up with a happy ever after, so many authors avoid this theme, but this author was able to not only make this book very loving and romantic, it had a great ending as well.
Desire for Dearborne read like an old school romance novel and I loved it. Our hero, Leander Mayfield, has recently found out he has inherited the esteemed title of becoming the Earl of Dearborne from his long lost grandfather. Since Leander has lived in America all of his life, the news comes as quite a shock. His two beloved older brothers were lost at sea, leaving Leander alone and practically penniless, so when he finds out he’s not only an Earl, but a rich one at that, he immediately hops on a boat to England to start his new life.
Leander has had much loss in his life. He was a sickly child, so he has a long time love affair with books and knowledge. Throughout his childhood and until now, Leander has had several bouts of sickness which he has recovered from. Because of this, he is quite shy and is often misunderstood. But, Leander also has a zest for life. Even though he makes mistakes, he embraces his new life, as much as Leander’s shyness and consideration will allow.
When Leander meets Julien Sutcliff, the Earl of Blackstone, he feels an immediate connection with him. Julien’s roguish behavior and known preference for male companionship instead of females, often keep the ton’s tongues wagging. But, Leander doesn’t believe rumors, nor does he care that Julien is attracted to men. As the men become more acquainted, Leander himself, starts to realize that he has always been attracted to men, especially Julien.
Julien has never been ashamed of her attraction to men. Aware of his reputation as a sodimite and a debaucher of innocents, he has deliberately had relationships with kept men, instead of other men of his station. Being around the innocent and sweetly shy Leander brings out his protective instincts and makes him emotionally raw, which he has never felt before.
When Leander’s life is suddenly in danger, decisions must be made. Should they ignore the love between them, or fight to be in each other’s arms forever?
I loved this book and I can’t wait to read more by this author. The story itself is fast paced and there is an element of suspense and mystery to it, also that keeps the story interesting as well. I would not category this book as erotic, though. I would consider this more sensual, which I enjoyed just as much, because of the intimacy and feelings Leander and Julien share between them.
