The Solitary Knights are a group of men who have suffered a broken heart and never quite recovered from it. Their ages range from late twenties to mid fifties. They meet once a month at a pub and congratulate themselves on being single and free, when really they are all sad and lonely men.
When the owner and bartender of the club challenges them to seek out the "one who got away" and reconnect with that person, most of them accept his challenge and look to find their lost love.
When Eric Moore left Chandler Adams he never looked back. College sweethearts, Eric took Chandler for granted. After college Eric joined the military and started another life. Chandler wrote him several times, but Eric decided to harden his heart and go onto better things.
Now it’s twenty years later and unfortunately for Eric, he never got over Chandler. Chandler's love and acceptance of Eric made other men always second best. Eric decided to look up Chandler and see if he can rekindle the love they once had.
I loved this story. Eric was a hard man to forgive. He deliberately cuts Chandler loose, but he pays for it for twenty lonely years. Under that gruff exterior lies a man who misses his first love and is willing to do anything to make Chandler give him a second chance.
Chandler is a sweet, intelligent and romantic man. The letters he writes to Eric are heartfelt and both heartbreaking because you know that Eric dismisses him so cruelly.
This book made me cry. I loved the way Eric wooed Chandler back. In some ways this book is very bittersweet because of all the time they missed together. But, the ending was great and I hated for it to end!
I love reunion stories and Finding Chandler really is a good one! I can't wait until the next book in the series!

It's been a long time since I've read a book as bad as this one. I hate writing negative reviews on books I've read. The last few books I've read by GA Hauser has been pretty good, so I was a little surprised how much I disliked this book. I had a hard time finishing it, but I did, and I think that was an accomplishment within itself.
My main problem with this book was the heroes. Danny and Donny are twins who are very selfish, self centered and just downright cruel. They decide that picking up gay men has become boring, so they make a bet that they can pick up and convert a straight man. Since they are identical twins and no one can tell them apart, they make the decision to play this game by courting the unsuspecting man together. That way both twins can have the victim and the victim has no idea he's dating not one man, but two.
I hate to say this, but I hated this book. I didn't think there were any redeeming qualities about the twins and the poor guy they seduce had no backbone whatsoever.
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. (less)

Sammy Dane is a loveable and total nerd. He is a successful gay-erotic romance writer who often gets so wrapped up in his writings that he forgets the little things in life like: pay the electric bill, lock the front door or eat. His brother is always trying to set sweet Sammy up, but it often ends up with disastrous results.
When Sammy’s brother convinces the reluctant Sammy to come over for a barbeque in a week, Sammy decides to go blow off some steam at a local bar. When he gets there he orders is special non-alcoholic drink and chants with the friendly bartender. He is surprised when a tall, muscular handsome man approaches him and starts to flirt with him. Soon he and “James” have a quick and sexy rapport and James has agreed to come to Sammy’s apartment for a little slap and tickle.
James Everson is a tough, dominating police officer who isn’t looking for Mr. Right, just Mr. Right Now. Bullied by his brother and his partner to come to a barbeque next week, that James knows is just another one of those horrible set ups, James decides to blow off some steam and check out a local bar to see if he can get any action for the night.
James is very particular about the men he dates. He likes them tall and muscular like himself, so when he sees a young man dressed primarily in the color Khaki, with glasses and unruly hair, he is shocked because of his immediate attraction to him. As he listens to the provocative conversation the man is having with the bartender, James decides to make his move and soon he finds himself in “Dane’s” apartment.
After a surprising night of intense sex, and “Dane” being very dominant in the bedroom, James is hooked and wants to see the young man again. Only to wake up and there is a short but sweet goodbye note on the door and to James disappointment it was obvious that Dane didn’t want to see him again.
After some reflection, James becomes determined to have Dane in his life. With some investigating he finds out some things about Sammy and decides to pursue him.
I really liked this book. It has Stormy’s classic “Fall in love at first sight” storyline and there are a lot of sex scenes in this story. I liked Sammy Dane. He was a refreshing character. He’s not a perfect looking hero, especially at first, and is sweetly flawed. I liked that James was totally captivated with Sammy and fought to have the sweet man in his life. I would have given up a sex scene or two to have more verbal interaction and their relationship develop a little more than it did. I would’ve liked to see the love develop between them, instead of it being an automatic thing.
This wasn’t enough for me not to enjoy the book, because I really did. Sammy and James were good together and I really enjoyed reading their story.

Cruise for Christmas is written in first person with our hero, Henry, telling the story. I’ve made it no secret that this is my least favorite point of view when I read romances. For some reason, it wasn’t as noticeable in this story. For one thing, I really liked Henry. He’s a nice guy who was given a “gay” cruise for Christmas by a couple of partners who he considers his family.
To his surprise not only is it a gay cruise, but a cruise that is catered to older gay men. Knowing he’s going to hook up with a senior any time soon, Henry decides to make the best of the situation and makes some nice friends and strives to enjoy himself anyway.
When Henry goes to dinner he is aware of a “cute” man who is surprisingly around Henry’s age eating at the same table he is. They strike up a conversation and Henry becomes interested in the sweet natured man. Henry soon realizes that Tim has a steel brace on his left leg and has some difficulties because of it, this makes Henry realize what a strong man Tim must be under all of his sweet and somewhat shy interior. This only makes Henry more intrigued by Tim, and he decides to give love a chance with him.
I really loved this story. I thought both Henry and Tim were well developed characters. Andrew does a great job in making me feel involved with these characters and hoping they get the happy ending they deserve. If you’re looking for a short and sweet holiday story, Cruise for Christmas would be a great book to read. Its sweetness and the loving romance is just what I was looking for this holiday season.

There is something about the way he connects us with his characters and brings us into their lives that really resonate with me.
Love Means Courage is a difficult book to review. I don't want to give much away about it so I've decided to just relate my feelings about this wonderful book without getting too much into the storyline.
Love Means Courage is actually the prequel to Love Means No Shame. I read Love Means No Shame first, because it's actually the first book in this series. Knowing what happens to Len and Cliff years down the line left me feeling bittersweet and melancholy throughout this book. I'm not saying it took away my enjoyment of reading their love story, but it definitely made an impact on my feelings toward Len and Cliff, and how much I enjoyed their story.
I can't recommend both Love Means No Shame and Love Means Courage enough. I do think they needed to be read in the order Mr. Grey intended, so don't cheat and try to read this one first!
There were several times throughout the book I found myself tearing up and cheering Cliff and Len on. I loved them. The connection they have with one another and the determination they have to be together and build a stable and happy family with each other and young Geoff was wonderful; despite the obstacles in their path and the things they had to overcome made me love them that much more.
I loved this book in general and I look forward to reading many more stories written by Mr. Grey in the future.

I was excited to see that it wasn’t going to be a ménage based relationship, and the premise looked interesting because Brier is mentally challenged. I hate to admit that Carol does stick her neck out there when it comes to writing about less than perfect heroes. She has a way of making me feel for them and have a special place in my heart for them because they are so unique and heartfelt.
The story was good. I liked Brier and Jackie. I thought that some of the issues they go through as far as Brier needing to be more independent for himself and from his brother was very realistic. Jackie was very good with Brier. He is encouraging without pushing him too hard and it was obvious that they really loved each other throughout the book.
The problem I had with the book is when I bought the book from Total E-bound books; it was listed as first in a series. There isn’t any indication that this book continues from another series from another publisher. If I had known this I wouldn’t have read it out of context like I did. From the first chapter I felt somewhat lost. It’s obvious that there was a lot going on before Brier and Jackie’s story and I felt like I was always one step behind because I hadn’t read the previous book. I thought this was somewhat unfair. It took away from the story and I was disappointed because I was lost throughout the book.
What stinks is I really love a series and I really liked this book. I just hate being left behind.
This book is hard to rate. I liked Brier and Jackie, but I would have enjoyed them much more if I hadn’t been lost on and off throughout the book. I decided to rate it a 3 because of that. I’m planning on trying to find the first book, Bram’s story, and read it (if it’s not a ménage) and maybe after I read it, I’ll change my rating. I do think that Total E-Bound publishing should have let readers be aware that the Bodyguard series is a spinoff of another one, but that is just my opinion. (less)

If you follow her blog, you know that Shawn's been teasing us for weeks with blurbs about this book. So you know as soon as it was released, it was a no brainer, I bought it immediately.
There's a reason why Shawn is a must buy author for me. She never fails at developing her characters into people that I care about. They are people whom I would cry with and comfort, laugh and kid around with, and just be proud to call them a friend. In Ticket to Ride, she continues this trademark of hers, but in addition to Chad and Jack being compelling characters, she throws in a murder mystery as well!
This was a very quick read for me and it's not because of the length of the book, but the story itself. The murder mystery and the emotionally charged romance was very fast paced and became quickly addictive to read, once I got started. I read Ticket to Ride in just one setting and I plan on reading it again before the week is over.
I have to admit that I immediately fell in love with Chad. He's sexy and a somewhat innocent character. As a rock star, you would expect him to be jaded and arrogant. Chad was not. He was continuously burned by a cheating ex-lover, and he beat a heavy drug addiction. This made him vulnerable in many ways. His inner strength and determination to better himself was very inspiring to read about. He struggles daily with the choices he's about to make; and has made in his life. He is wonderfully human and refreshingly different. I loved him.
Jack, on the other hand, was harder to love. Beneath his gruff like manner and somewhat cold exterior, lies a man who is very passionate and sexy, as the story unfolds. Jack's inner and outer strength, and confidence in who he is, as well as his survival and protective instincts, make him perfect for our sweet and sexy Chad.
I loved them together and I loved this book. I'm not going to get into the storyline because I don't want to spoil anything. I can only hope that Shawn writes more of these types of stories. She's got multiple talents as a writer, and writing a romantic suspense as good as this one proves she is extremely versatile as well.

It's a hard book for me to rate because it's a good book with a decent storyline and sweet heroes, but it felt long to me for some reason. I had to force myself to finish it. I don't know if it was the book, or my mood. I liked it, but I honestly didn't love it.
Shilo and Jeffery are pretty interesting characters. Shilo has moved to Wisconsin from Arizona, determined to start a new life without his horrible ex-boyfriend. He meets Jeff, who is an in the closet police officer whose partner, Marcus died of cancer just six months before.
Both men become friends and fall in love pretty quickly. I had no problem with that. I'm glad both Shilo and Jeff were able to find love again with one another, but it just seemed like one problem after another would pop up dragging some things out too much.
There is also no sex in this book. They talk about it, and obviously do it, but there aren’t any sex scenes in it, so I would not category this as erotic at all. It's definitely more "sweet" than anything.
I plan on giving this book another try at some point. As I said, I did like it, I just didn't love it. Maybe next time I read it I'll feel differently. I'll have to let y'all know if my opinion changes.

Bottled Up is no exception.
Sean’s life took a change for the better in one day. He saved homeless teenaged Bobby from being attacked behind his store, not knowing that just being around the sixteen year old boy would bring out parenting instincts he had thought he’d never had. While filing the police report he became acquainted with Officer Sam Davis, who is not only the nicest law enforcement officer he’s ever met, but he’s also the sexiest one, too.
When Sean finds out that Bobby has been lost in the foster care system, Sean immediately takes young Bobby in. They form a trust and bond with one another and soon both Sean and Bobby not only become like family and Sean takes measures into fostering Bobby and even adopting him.
While Sean and Bobby start forming a father-son relationship, Sean and Sam become close as well. Sam seems determined not only to have Sean in his life, and Bobby as well. As Sean and Sam get to know one another, Sam finds out that Sean has a tragic and somewhat mysterious past, that when is revealed just makes Sam love and want to protect Sean even more.
But, someone is out to kidnap Bobby, and Sean and Sam must deal with keeping Bobby safe, as well as Sean’s past, before they can become a family that all three of them long to be.
I really loved all the characters in this book. The character growth and development both Sean and Bobby experience after truly being accepted and showered with love changes both of them. All three characters are heroes in there own right, for what they overcome to become a family.
I loved Bottled Up. If you are looking for great characters that is easy to care about and a sweet and loving romance, Bottled Up is for you.

What I love about Shawn’s books is you never know what you’re going to get. She is very versatile when it comes to her writing and characterization. She can write a very sweet and loving romances and she can write emotionally driven romances that keep you glued to the computer screen. Since I’m a fan of both sweet romances and angst; well Shawn’s books will always be a hit with me.
There’s not much I can say about Sweet Reunion that hasn’t been said. Sandy wrote an awesome review on it, I encourage anyone who’s interested in reading Sweet Reunion to check it out.
The reason I really enjoyed Sweet Reunion is I felt that this book was much more than just romance. It’s a book about surviving abuse and salvaging relationships not only with lost loves, but with family, too. I thought Shawn really was able to get to the heart of the matter when it came to both, Jason’s relationship with his ailing mother and with his first and true love Danny. One of the best things about this book is the people that are in it. Not only did I root for Jason and Danny, but even the mysterious and sexy Jude as well. It was even fairly easy to empathize with Jason’s abused mother. I was particularly impressed with Jason’s willingness to forgive the past and move on, just to give his dying mother some peace and happiness, even if at first I wasn’t sure if she deserved it.
Most of all I loved Danny and Jason together. The chemistry and the heartfelt love between them was apparent from the moment they are reunited together. Danny’s sweetness and understanding throughout the book, makes me have a special place in my heart for him as well as Jason. I agree that the ending has more of a HFN ending, but it also had a HEA feel to it, too. It’s apparent that Danny and Jason belong together, so them working things out and staying together really wasn’t a question for me.

I have no excuse, because there isn’t a rhyme or reason to my madness when it comes to what I’m reading, or what I’m going to read next. I will say, that being a huge lover of gorgeous covers, and men, and since Spot Me is what I consider a memorable cover, it somehow found its way up to the front of my pile.
I’m glad it did.
Spot Me is not an emotionally driven read. There isn’t much angst to it at all. If you like angst, this story might not be for you. It’s a sweet and loving romance between two men who meet and fall in love. There is some conflict, but it’s pretty mild. Basically it’s just an easy and romantic read.
The story is a simple one. Two men meet working out at the local gym. Both heroes have had a bad relationship, but when they first meet they are immediately drawn to each other. As they start working out together, they become friends then lovers.

I hold...moreI was going to hold off reading Tabloid Star by T.A. Chase for a rainy day. For some reason I have a tendency to do that with certain authors. I hold off reading their books until I need a really good pick me up, or I know I’m in the mood to read something I know I’ll love. This wasn’t so when I bought Tabloid Star! I immediately had to read it, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Josh Bauer is a very responsible man. He works three jobs to support himself, and to give most of the earnings he makes to his sister and her special needs son. Because of this, Josh hasn’t really had any relationships to speak of. Since one of his jobs is a bartender, he has a tendency to hook up with the clientele for a one night stand, but he’s never gotten emotionally involved with anyone. He simply just hasn’t met the right person, or had the time to put any effort into getting to know someone else to be involved with.
When Josh lays eyes on a very handsome man at the bar he works at, he immediately tries to hook up with him. Flirtatious bantering soon leads to a compromising position in the dark alley just outside the bar where Josh works. Unable to immediately allow the handsome man to leave, he finds out the handsome mans name is Ryan, and persuades Ryan to stay until he’s off of work so they can go to Josh’s home for a little more playtime together. Just as planned, Ryan follows Josh home, and they have a night of passion and fun together.
When Josh wakes up, Ryan is gone.
Even though Josh is a little disappointed he expected Ryan to leave, so he tries to shrug it off and chalks the time they had together as something he’ll think back and remember fondly.
What Josh didn’t expect was to see himself and Ryan on the front page of a gossip magazine in a passionate embrace for the world to see. What surprises Josh even more is Ryan isn’t just an anonymous face, he’s a pretty well known actor who has now been unofficially outted from the closet.
Ryan Keller has been steadily becoming Hollywood’s “it” guy. The last thing he needs is a scandal just when he’s starting to become very successful. Even though whatever is on the front page today will soon be yesterday’s news, Ryan is furious that the compromising pictures of him and Josh have surfaced, and forced him somewhat out of the closet, because Ryan up to this point, has been very cautious and careful to keep his sexuality under wraps. He’s had to sacrifice a lot for his craft, including having any kind of meaningful relationship or a partner to come home too.
Determined to find out who’s behind the camera, Ryan seeks Josh out just to see if Josh set him up and is somehow behind all of the publicity with disastrous results. As more pictures arise, both men are brought together to find out who is setting Ryan and Josh up.
I loved this book! Mr. Chase has a very special way of connecting two people together who otherwise would ever give one another the time of day. I love watching Josh and Ryan’s relationship build from friendship to a love that won’t be denied. I thought both Josh and Ryan were very realistically written with human fears and flawed personalities. I loved how they are able to fight through what could have been a very negative situation and found a beautiful love that enhances their lives and gives them the happy ending that they deserve.

To top off an otherwise great book, we get a cameo with the heroes from the book High Line, Garrett and CJ! It was wonderful seeing those two continuing to be happy with one another, and even being an inspiration for Ryan and Josh’s relationship. This was a very happy surprise and it made the ending so much sweeter than I was prepared for.

I’m not going to get into the storyline because I would be repeating what other friends and reviewers have already said.
To be honest, I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. Too me, it had Langley’s classic style and dialog, which I’ve always loved. I’ve seen people compare it to a harlequin novel, which honestly I’ve always secretly liked. I think it’s good that she felt the need to stretch her creativity and pay homage to something she once loved to read, too.
I admit I’m an old school romance reader, so maybe that’s one reason why I liked it so much. The heroes were sexy, there was angst, it had a happy ending and it was fast paced. What more could I ask for? I agree with many of my goodreads friends, that this isn’t her best book, but I still liked it and I’m sure I’ll re-read it again soon.

When Kyle Edward decided to push his Camero on the lonely stretch of road, to its maximum speed, he wasn’t expecting to be pulled over on such a beautiful night. Kyle is even more surprised when the Officer who pulled him over is the most gorgeous thing he’s ever seen. Out of recklessness and Kyle propositions the Officer to get out of the ticket in a jokingly suggestive manner. Kyle is shocked when the Officer accepts Kyle’s offer and they embark out to have a quickie, but they end up having more of a connection than what they thought.
I can’t drive 55 is 21 pages of sexual chemistry, fun banter and a chance encounter that although has a HFN ending, it also ends with the indication that both Kyle and Officer John plan on spending much more time together. There isn’t any character development and really any plot whatsoever, this is strictly me enjoying Jade’s story as a guilty pleasure. I liked it for what it was. Quick and easy!
