It is a short novella that consists of two very short stories. Both stories consist of pretty young men being attracted and slightly dominated by big masculine heroes.
Perfect Strangers Jordan must go to the mall and buy some dress pants. He ends up having a conflict with a big burly man over a parking spot. When a handsome man comes to Jordan’s rescue, he is immediately attracted to him, but because Jordan afraid of rejection he keeps his attraction to himself and both men part ways. Later, while Jordan is trying on pants, he runs into the handsome rescuer again in the dressing room. To Jordan’s delight, the man, Robert, seduces him in the dressing room where they have sex in the dressing room stall and then later at Roberts house.
Foreign Relations Jesse thought it was going to be another boring Geology Lab class until the teaching assistant and grad student, Eric, walked in the door. Not only was Eric masculine, muscled and sexy, his Swedish accent captivated Eric from his first spoken word. Although Eric is attentive to Jesse’s questions, he is with everyone else, too. Jesse soon starts to believe that Eric is straight, so he decides to keep his infatuation to himself. One late night, Jesse goes to a laundry mat and runs into the handsome Eric. The men soon start talking and realize that they are both gay and attracted to one another. They end up having sex at the laundry mat and end up deciding that they should continue their romance at Eric’s house.
I really liked both stories. Both stories had the pretty small man gets the big handsome hunk for heroes, which admittedly I thoroughly enjoy. All the heroes were likable and the sex scenes were pretty erotic. I liked that even though each story had a Happy For Now ending, there still was the promise of their relationships becoming something more serious in their future. They were both quick, erotic and fun filled reads, and I hated to see them both end.

Many times in the past, I’ve read other anthologies where there are usually at least two or more stories that I either disliked or it lost my interest. Admittedly, there are some stories I liked better than others, but all of them were interesting and very entertaining short stories.
Cruising by J.P. Bowie
At thirty-one, Adam Brenner is giving himself a fresh start. Since his relationship with his ex-boyfriend has gotten sour, he’s ready for a positive change in his life. When he takes a job to run the casino on a luxury cruise ship, he’s pretty excited about the new job; even if he knows it’s going to take some effort to keep the casino running in ship-shape. Unfortunately for Adam, the night before the ship leaves, his crew has too much fun and misses an important meet and greet with the other crew members and the ship’s captain. To Adam’s chagrin, the captain of the ship is not only the father of the man he just had a hot one nighter with, AND it’s obvious that he’s not impressed with Adam and his lazy “American” casino employees.
Adam soon realizes he’s made a mistake with the captain’s son as soon as he meets a handsome and talented young guitarist named Brett. Brett is sweet and thoughtful and everything that Adam wants in a man. As Adam and Brett start forming an emotional bond together, Brett finds out about Adam’s one night stand the night before they met, and wonders if Adam is just playing him for a fool.
Will Adam be able to convince Brett of his feelings of affection toward him?
Cruising is told in first person with Adam’s point of view. I admit I’m not a fan of first person romance. I like to know what the other main character is thinking, but I thought that Mr. Bowie did an excellent job at portraying at what the other characters were feeling. Adam has to put up with a lot of drama and backstabbing from other characters that work on the cruise ship. I though this made the short story interesting as well. Most importantly, the physical and emotional chemistry between Adam and Brett was delightful, and even though I wasn’t pleased with Adam and his one nighter at the beginning of the book, I ended up liking him and I was glad to see he got the happy ending he deserved.
Maximum Exposure by Jenna Byrnes and Jude Mason
Rob Jenkins has decided to take a chance at something naughty. He and his boyfriend, Max has been together for six years. Even though they are in love, their relationship has been suffering because of Rob’s fear of giving into a sexual fetish that Max has. Rob is determined to keep his relationship with Max healthy and happy…even if that means trying to be open about Max’s fetish of fooling around in public.
When Max is out of town for business, Rob decides that this opportunity to play out some of Max’s fantasies. He surprises Max, and sets out to seduce him and make his fantasies come true.
I thought Rob deciding to give into his more adventurous side of sexual play with Max, even though he felt initially out of his element, rang true to me. Sexual compatibly is important in all relationships, and Rob is smart enough to see that if something didn’t change between he and Max, their relationship would end up being doomed. Both Rob and Max were interesting characters and likeable people. Both men are forced to look at their relationship and make the decision if it is worth fighting for. For a short story, I thought both characters were pretty well rounded and I really enjoyed the love and intense physical chemistry between them.
Yes! By Kim Dare
When he’s offered a good time in bed by a handsome and sexy man, twenty-six year old Andrew Holt, definitely has a hard time saying NO. Andrew’s gained quite a reputation from his promiscuous behavior. He finds out that some men are not impressed by this slutty behavior when he meets the interesting nineteen year old Stephen Phillips. Even though Stephen is younger than Andrew, he has a strong and dominatingly assertive personality that Andrew finds very attractive.
The two men start a discussion/argument over Andrew’s lack of self control. Stephen bets Andrew that he won’t be able to say no to anything Stephen sets out to do to him. Thinking that this is an easy win, Andrew takes that bet and soon realizes his mistake when the more he’s around Stephen the more he desires him and connects with him on a more emotional level. But, when Andrew finally submits to Stephen’s dominate nature will it be enough for them to start a beautiful and loving relationship together?
I really liked the chemistry between Andrew and Stephen. Once again for a short story I really found it easy to like both heroes and root for them to somehow work through their differences of opinion and get together. The cat and mouse game the men played with each other was both very sexy and fun to read! (Stephen feeding Andrew that chocolate cake was just H-O-T!) One of the great things about Ms. Dare’s writing is her snappy dialog and the intense emotional pull the heroes have with one another. This makes her stories both addictive and very enjoyable to read.
Sorry Charlie by Ashley Ladd
Charlie Lang has had an estranged relationship with his father ever since Charlie came out of the closet to him seventeen years ago. Now, suddenly his father wants to mend the broken bridge between them and Charlie is confused but hopefully optimistic. But, Charlie’s partner of fifteen years, Jonathan, does not feel the same way. He’s afraid that Charlie is just setting himself up for a world of hurt again and he doesn’t know what he can do to prevent it.
On top of the stress that Charlie being reunited with is father, they also have to deal with the reality of our failing economy. Jonathan has a bookstore, and it hasn’t been doing so good, so the couple is experiencing some financial problems that is putting a slight strain on their relationship too. Will they be able to work through all the obstacles in their relationship and find the happiness they once had together?
This story was more angsty than I thought it would be. The conflict between Charlie and his family as well as the conflicts between him and Jonathan was very realistically written. I admit that Charlie’s father surprised me, but the rest of the family was horrible. My little gripe about this story is I thought the ending was too abrupt and suddenly way too cozy because of the heavy angst in the story itself. I also had some issues with Charlie, but I did like him. I thought he overlooked Jonathan and his needs and worries a lot. In some ways I thought their relationship was a little one sided, but I did like them and I enjoyed the story.
Heat of the Night by SL Majors
Stephan Powell is used to living life in the fast lane. He’s spoiled and used to living a very wealthy way of life. He’s also a womanizer that has a habit of getting himself into trouble. His Aunt and guardian commands him to spend two weeks in Wyoming with her friend Dakota Youngblood. Not wanting to disappoint his beloved Aunt anymore, he agrees to put up with living in the middle of nowhere so he can pacify her and then get back to living on the edge like he has done in the past.
He wasn’t expecting Dakota Youngblood to be as fascinatingly handsome as he is. Tough, strong, gruff and surprisingly patient, Dakota immediately attracts the younger Stephan. This is surprising to Stephan because he’s never desired being with a man before, but being around Dakota and being touched by Dakota is bringing out hidden desires and strong feelings for another that Stephan has never felt before. Stephan realizes that he wants to be a better man for himself and hopefully for Dakota. But, will the differences in their ages and ways of life breach a wall between them?
WHEW! The chemistry that Stephan and Dakota had together was amazing! I had to turn on my ceiling fan when I read the “lasso” scene and the scene by the lake. *Fans Self* Just thinking about how sexy those two men are together makes me break out in a sweat! Both Stephan and Dakota were interesting characters, and even with the story being a short one, both of their characters evolve into better men.
I love this story and I hated for it to end! I really wish it had been longer. I would have loved to read a full story about them and more of the life they now have together. This is the first book I’ve read by SL Majors and it won’t be the last!
One Night Stand by Cassandra Gold
When Tom Garner’s friends insisted he get out into the dating scene again, Tom wasn’t so sure he was doing the right thing. Since his partner’s death two years ago, Tom knows he’s become somewhat of a hermit by staying at home and running his photography studio. When his well meaning friends take him to a bar, Tom thinks his average looks won’t get him many offers. He’s surprised when a pretty, blonde man approaches him and starts up a conversation.
Ian Abernathy is not looking for love. Scorned by cheating lover months ago, Ian swears he’ll never be hurt or vulnerable to another again. He’s told himself that his love ‘em and leave ‘em attitude has been working for him so far. When he meets the older and handsome Tom at a bar, he hoped to have a night of pleasure with the bigger man. To his delight he and Tom spend a night of unbelievable tenderness and passion. This scares Ian, who can’t leave Tom’s house fast enough; even when he sees the sorrow in Tom’s eyes when he does it.
Now, Ian can’t get Tom off of his mind and unfortunately for both men they keep running into one another. Ian knows he’s made a mistake by allowing his fears take over and pushing Tom away. Will he overcome his fears by taking a chance on Tom and find the true love he’s always secretly wanted? Will Tom be able to forgive Ian and give him and true love a second chance?
Cassandra Gold is one of my favorite authors. I love the fast-paced and easy style of writing that she has. Her heroes are always sexy and intriguing men and there is a sense of realism about them that I really like. They are also people that make mistakes and are very far from perfect. I love them!
I really wish this story had been longer, too! I really loved Ian and Tom’s story. Even though this was a short story, it packed a lot of punch. I appreciated how both Ian and Tom was able to work through their fears and make efforts to change and become not only happier with themselves, but with one another.
Friction was a great anthology and I highly recommend it!

Guys in Cars by Matthew Haldeman-Time is a one-authored anthology. Anthologies are very tricky. It’s not a common occurrence for me to enjoy all of the stories written in anthologies. Most of the time, there are at least one of two that I’ll either skip over, but that was not the case in this book. I really liked all of the stories, and I thoroughly really liked the book as a whole.
I love Mr. Haldeman-Time’s voice. His heroes are easy to like and they always have good chemistry with each other. There is not a lot of angst in this book; it’s just an easy-going, sweet but sexy book, filled with humor, cute plotlines and home hot pretty hot sex.
What’s not to love about that?
So if you are looking for a light and enjoyable read, this would be a great option to indulge yourself with.
Note: At the end of the book, Mr. Haldeman-Time is promoting his novel, In This Land, and he gives the first chapter or so as a freebee. I did not read this, because I want to read the novel as a whole when I do decide to read it. (less)

I am normally disappointed in anthologies. Most of the time there are MAYBE one or two stories in the book that keep my interest. I can honestly say that I pretty much liked all of the stories in this book. Since it is written by the same author, I am coming to the conclusion that I like his sweet and easy style of writing.
Plus, the book was FREE, so how could I go wrong? All the stories are based around guys in college.
Jason has had a crush on Trent for a while now. Jason goes to Trent’s swimming practice everyday and sketches him or just watches him swim. Jason doesn’t think that Trent would ever notice a guy like him. Trent is popular, smart and runs with the jocks, whereas, Jason is an artist, sarcastic and Goth. (love those Goth guys!) But, Jason doesn’t know that Trent has noticed him on more than one occasion and has been intrigued by the quiet and more sullen Jason. Knowing that Jason will never come to him, Trent approaches Jason and asks him on a date. Knowing he and Trent have nothing in common, Jason’s mind says no, but his heart says yes. Does opposites attract or will it be a disaster?
Trent and Jason have been dating for several months. Despite being totally opposite of one another, they are making it work together. While Jason is at a party with his friends, Trent is alone in Jason’s room thinking about his relationship and feelings for Jason. He comes to the realization that he loves Jason…eyeliner and all. When Jason returns early from the party, Trent is anxious to tell Jason of his new founded feelings, but is afraid of how Jason might react. Will Jason return his feelings or push Trent away? I love Jason and Trent. Jason is such a smart ass and since it takes one to know one, I thought he was fun to get to know. I hate that Trent and Jason’s story was so short, but MAYBE one day Mr. Haldeman will write some more about them.
Purple and Magenta
Austin is stuck in the library. His roommate has claimed their room for several hours and he doesn’t have anywhere to go. Bored out of his mind, and unable to keep his mind on his studies, he starts to people watch. He strikes up a conversation with a cute guy named Owen, who he mistakenly thinks has a twitch (you’ll have to read why he thinks that) They hit it off and go for a date. Very cute and short story. Austin’s inner dialog was quite funny at times. I liked it.
Ten Weird Things
Eric and David are roommates and complete opposites. Since they don’t have much in common they struggle to make conversation with each other. As time goes by, Eric starts noticing David more and becomes attracted to him. They start easing into friendship and start communicating with one another better. One of the things that David has started doing is reading a really weird thing that someone has done or happened to them from this book. This becomes a quick tradition with them, and soon Eric and David start really looking forward to the next crazy thing David will read about. This really breaks the ice between them and soon they are fighting an attraction and feelings for one another. Will they act on those feelings or will they let a good thing pass them by? Once again, I liked both characters. I thought the story was short and sweet.
Cool is about Danny and Ryan. They are an established couple who reminisce about how they met and they explore their feelings for one another. Very sexy and sweet.
Bruce is a mechanic who likes to sleep around. At twenty-five he is struggling to make ends meet. When he hears from a friend that he can do an online porno for some quick and easy cash, he jumps at the chance. When he arrives at his destination, he meets the guy he is to have sex with, Cory. Cory is nothing like Bruce usually goes for. Smart, cute and innocent, Bruce is immediately infatuated with Cory. Not only does the sex rock Bruce’s world, but he finds himself feeling things for Cory he has never felt before. When the session is over and Cory leaves, Bruce realizes he must get to know Cory better and have him in his life. Will he find Cory? When he does will Cory think he is a crazy stalker or a potential boyfriend? I liked this story. The bigger player they are, the harder they fall. I liked that Cory made Bruce squirm some. They were fun to read about.
All the stories were enjoyable. I really liked this book and look forward to reading more from this Matthew Haldeman-Time. Since he is giving this book as a free download, here is the link to his webpage www.matthewhaldemantime.com or you can access by going to Luna.com.

I really thought this book had a freshness to it that I haven't read in a while. I honestly don't want to give to much away about it, but I will say the some heroes prefer an alternative way of presenting themselves. I liked it. It was different.
I liked all three stories. Bowie's was my least favorite. I think it would have been better if it had been shorter, and the main characters would have had more time together in the storyline. It was okay. Not my favorite, but worth reading.
I loved both Jet's and Kimberly's stories. They were surprising, sexy and I hated it when they came to an end.
Sorry I am being more evasive than normal, but I just don't want to give too much of this book away. If you want more details about it, PM me, and I will be glad to tell you.

This is a three story anthology all written by different authors. All stories had characters that were in law enforcement. Although I liked this book, I liked James Buchanan's story the best...the oter two were pretty good. I wish the stories were longer and the characters had time to develop more emotional attachment to one another. Not to say that it's a bad thing though, they are all in the beginnings of a relationship, were everything is new and you don't get angry at each other because they squeezed the toothpaste tube in the middle or forgot the put the dish in the dishwasher new. Still a good, light enjoyable read.(less)

Key to Me by Jet Mykles Noah usually is pretty easy on the eyes. Cute and well liked, he can have his pick of men. There is only one problem. Noah is getting tired of playing the game, and longs to find someone to get serious with. When he starts receiving sexy gifts from a secret admirer, he is intrigued by the mystery of it all. I won't give anything else away, but this story was so HOT! Jet really can write not only great characters with sizzling characters, and the chemistry between them aways keeps me glued until the last page. This story was NO exception.
A Gift of Eros by Kimberly Garner When a ancient god (Dylan) seeks his soul mate, he finds it centuries later with Val a classic major. Dylan is not to be denied and won't take no for an answer. Val soon discovers that things are definately what he thought it was. Dylan's determination and the creativity of the story made this story an interesting read. I haven't read anything by Kimberly before, but with the steamy love scenes and the interesting plot and characters I plan on getting my hands on more of her work.
Rough Ride by Laura Baumbach
I love Bram and James! The Roughhousing books are so great! My disappointment was the story was so dang short! As usual these men have the hottest chemistry...I just hated that it ended so soon! For more insight on Bram and James past...I would definately read the other books in the series.
One Good Favor by J.L. Langley and Dick D.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED this story! Evan is a cowboy that frequents the rodeo circut. Looking for a new horse he finds a wonderful, charming horse that Evan feels a kindred sprirt with. When Evan meets Aaron a mysterious cowboy that appears as quickly as he disappears. But, Aaron is not only the sexiest cowboy Evan has ever laid eyes on PLUS, his more dominant personality and mysterious ways really turn Evan on. I won't give too much away with the plot and the mystery about sexy Aaron...but I loved this story. Ms. Langley writes the sexiest cowboys who are stay in my thoughts long after the book is finished.

Honestly, it looks to me that homosexuality is the relationships she seems to like and prefer to write about, so I figured what the heck, and I drove right on in.
This was a really great book, it is a two story anthology about two members in a famous rock band. The world that Jet weaves around the characters is always fasinating to me. I thought the character development, and the relationship that developed between the the main characters was compelling to read about. I found myself rooting for the relationship between the heroes. I thought the storyline was interesting in both stories and I plan on getting the second book in the Heaven Sent series.

Private Places is a four author anthology with Robin Schone, Shiloh Walker, Allyson James and Claudia Dane. Honestly I bought the book because I LOVE Robin Schone and Shiloh Walker...well I have mixed thoughts about the different stories. Not all were that great and unfortunately Robin's was my least favorite. Honestly this is the second book in a row I have read by Schone, and have been disappointed. To me her characters just don't connect well on an emotional level. There just isn't chemistry between them. Claudia Dane's story left me cold too. I had a hard time finishing it to be honest. Now Allyson James and Shiloh Walker both wrote stories that I really liked. They were right on with the chemistry, interesting storyline and pacing of the short story. Because of them I am giving this book a 4...too bad I can't rate each story individually...lol (less)

I really enjoyed this book, but I honestly didn't like it as well at the first book. I really want to rate it at 3.5 stars. Some of the characters were more cookie-cutter to me, and a couple of the stories were not as developed, but it was a nice, quick read. The backstory is Paranormal beings are seeking mates. They seek out mates by sponsoring possible matches. There are very sexually explicit situtation, including m/m interplay. If you are offended by this and dirty words, this book is not for you.

Sometimes I don't want the commitment of a long novel. So I eagerly started this one and finished it in one setting. All of the stories are written by different authors. All are erotic and kept my interest, and they gave me a couple of hours of enjoyment:) The backstory to all of these stories are Paranormal beings are looking for Mates. There is a resort where they "sponsor" their potential mate after doing some extensive research on them. Many times, the potential mate has no idea they are being set up on the ultimate blind date...they just think they have won the vacation of a lifetime. Finding Magic by Kate Douglas This story has a "twofer" love story in it. Amanda is a very famous actress who is suffering from burn out. When her homosexual assisant-who is also her best friend- pushes her to go on vacation, she gives in reluctantly. When she runs into a handsome, but arrogant Lorcan she is attracted to him despite her first impression of him. Lorcan is a shape-shifting Dragon Prince who must find a mate. When he meets Amanda for the first time he is immediately smitten, but seems to always say the wrong thing to her. Determined to have her he sets out to woo her and hope that she will give her heart and body to him, even though he is a Dragon. If you have read any Kate Douglas stories, you know what you are in for. There is some mild BDSM between the secondary love story-Amanda's assistant and Lorcan's man in waiting. There are also some M/M interaction between the secondary characters. Honestly, I liked all of the characters in this story, so the M/M contact didn't bother me. This may not be for everyone though, so I thought I would warn you. 4 Play by Eve Vaughn When Trina wins her dream vacation she is ready to get away from it all. She is a strong, hard working heroine who has been down on her luck for awhile, so not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, she jumps at the chance to escape for a while. She is surprised when she is persued by not one but three men all claiming they are her mate and they love her. Between the undivided attention she recieves from them and the hot sex, well this turns into the vacation of a lifetime. This has Menage scenes and some strong language in this story. I liked all of the characters the Heroes are very sexy, likable shapeshifting lions. They definately know how to treat a lady...no wonder Trina fell so hard for them...lol Sea God's Pleasure by Alice Gaines Gloria is an art dealer whose bad attitude and well for a better word Bitchiness is driving her employees crazy. When she "wins" a dream vacation her employees insist on her taking it or they will quit. So despite her reluctance she agrees to go. She has always been attracted to a painting portraying "a sea god's pleasure" for some reason it has always spoken to her on many levels. So when she spots the most beautiful man she has ever seen coming out of the ocean to her, she is spellbound because he looks just like her object of desire. Quarian the god of the sea can only have one mate. When he sees Gloria, he knows immediately that she is the one for him. But will Gloria's stubborness and unwillingness to give her heart away being him eternal loneliness? I really loved Quarian. I didn't care for Gloria much. I really thought she was well...a bitch, but I was willing to overlook her shortcomings because I liked him so much. He is noble, strong, smart and sexy. How could I not be drawn to him? I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the second one in this series! If you are offended by dirty words and hot sex, this book is not for you.

It is probably one of the more "tamer" samhain books I have ever read. I would NOT catagory this as erotica. A few of the stories barely have any sexual contact at all...BUT this is a VERY romantic book, and I enjoyed the message of hope that each story seemed to give. I liked all of the stories in this book. Some better than others, but all were at least 3 stars.
Look what Santa Brought by Annmarie McKenna This is Scott's story from Blackmailed. It's been ten years since Brianna entered a relationship with Cole and Tyler. Scott is a very successful businessman. Not allowing his physical challenges stop him from getting what he wants- he is both smart and sexy. Unfortunately, he has been in love with his sisters best friend-Tara forever. When he discovers that Tara needs his help with a stalker-ex-boyfriend he immediately does what he can to help her...and to finally let her know how he really feels. What he doesn't know is Tara has secretly been in love with him forever, but doesn't really think she is good enough for him I wish Scott's story would have been a full-length novel. It was good, but I felt cheated by the shortness (is that a word?) of it. We also re-visit Brianna and Tyler from Blackmailed. Once again I wonder why she and Tyler didn't marry because Cole isn't around much...did anyone else feel that way???
Home for Christmas by Kate Davies
This is a best friends turns lovers romance. Sophia and Ethan have been through everything together. Both surviving the grief of Sophia's husband and Ethan's business partners death..they have become very attached to one another. There relationship has developed into stronger feelings for one another than both are afraid to admit to one another. When Sophia decides she needs a new traditon on Christmas and goes on a Christmas Cruise...Ethan decides to make his move and have this be the best Christmas ever. I really liked this story. Both characters were interesting and I found myself really rooting for Sophia and Ethan to come together.
Love Me, Still by Maya Banks
This was the most difficult story for me to read. The basis of it is forgiveness...and well I really don't know if I would have been as forgiving as the heroine was to her mates. Heather has been very happy living in the pack with her two werewolf mates Cael and Riyu. The pack has accepted her as one of them even though she is human. When Heather, her friend Niko and her mate's father Magus is attacked by hunters. She is raped and beaten viciously. Magnus mortally injured misinterpreted the situtation and blamed Heather for the attack. When he reaches the pack he informs Cael and Riyu of her betrayal. Niko in the meantime rescues Heather and takes her almost to the village their pack lives in. Unable to take her all the way or he will lose the scent of the hunters and not take any revenge he leaves her within walking distance on her own. When Heather approaches Cael and Riyu they immediately shun her and refuse to listen to her, or take note of the MANY injuries she is suffering. They kick her out and leave her to die in the snowfall. When Niko returns and sees what they have done to Heather he informs them of the truth, and they set out to save her. I don't think I would have gone back with Cael and Riyu...I would have picked Niko and said the hell with the rest...but since I didn't write the story...lol
Second Chance Christmas by MacKenzie McKade
This is a very good story about second chances. It was also the most sensual story of the book. Like Scott's story I wish this would have been a full-length novel...but I wasn't invited to the meeting they had to make these decisions...darn it! Lori and Dean were childhood sweethearts. Four years ago a series of misunderstandings have drove them apart. When they run into one another at the local bar, sparks fly. Will they be able to communicate and find there way back to one another?? I really enjoyed this story. I thought that Dean was a very sexy, interesing hero...and well matched with Lori. Is there a story that MacKenzie has written that I didnt' like? She is another must read author by me, and she doesn't disappoint with this short story either.
