Cas Peace won't make you read pages and pages of world-building details. Instead, the setting is laid out nicely as the plot progresses. Another thing I thought fabulous, was how well developed the villains are; not caricatured or one-dimensional. I'm very glad I found this author. I received this book as a courtesy for an honest review and all opinions are my own.(less)

I loved to know the plot is intertwined with real historical facts and the writing style is consistent with what I'd expect (although I'm not an expert). The story is fast paced and with multiple point of views you can't help but to keep the pages turning. The secondary characters are interesting on their own account and, although I wish they were more developed in this book, I understand there will be plenty of room for them to grow in the next installments of the series. The only bone I'd pick with The Other Side of Heaven is the end, which didn't leave me with a sense of closure because none of the major conflicts were solved, none of the questions were answered. It just ended. I supposed readers who are used to series would have no problem with that and, overall, it didn't take any of the enjoyment of the story away.(less)

The plot in this book is also well crafted and the multiple point-of-views intertwine seamlessly and bring the reader deep within the story. Despite his flaws, I loved Idirin. His strength comes from the same place as his love for his daughter, and sorrow for his lost love. And one should not take that lightly! I hope to see more of him on the sequel. Arroryn is a young kick-ass heroine who, as she matures, has the potential to carry the entire series on her shoulders. Fortunately, she won't have to because Ms. Peers seems to have much more up her sleeve. (less)

I really enjoyed reading about the relationship of Tommy and Katy and how it flourished, two long lost friends who reconnect in an unexpected way. Then, there's the suspense. What a plus! The POV of the antagonist was brilliant. I almost liked him! This book keeps you hooked from beginning to end. (less)

The only thing that doesn't make this book justice is the cover, but as we all know one shouldn't judge by it. This one is a keeper, can't wait for Dominion #2.(less)

Sometimes life just happens and things don't go the way we planned, but if there's one thing one should never give up is love. So, reading about Esme and Santiago's journey to mend mistakes from the past and build a relationship was truly enjoyable. This book keeps the action going and it's hard to put it down. Kristina has a characteristically upbeat and cheery style of writing that even amidst conflict you still can notice the positive vibe of the book. Definitely a happy read. (less)

I'll definitely read the next one. (less)

I think we need more immortal women in literature. The plot in this book is intense, with a lot of police work involved. Perfect for readers who enjoy thrillers. I didn't care for the multiple POV's towards the end; the murderer and a crazy guy who was stalking her. All in all, it's a fast read and entertaining. (less)

I absolutely loved the wonderful descriptions of Kara's ranch and her daily life with the foreign point of view of the Scottish hero. The tender father-and-daughter relationship grabs you from the beginning until Lord Stoneham comes into the picture. From there on, there's no stop to turning the pages until it's over. Note: I was provided an ARC for review as a professional courtesy. No monetary or other compensation was involved. (less)

Leigh and David were such interesting characters I wish to have seen more about their unresolved issues. The setting is lovely, the dialogue is witty, and the romance doesn't feel forced. Look forward to reading more from Méline Nadeau.(less)

In this Part one of Rae's trilogy we follow Sienna as she comes to term with leadership and loving an alien all the while kicking-butt and never, ever walking away from a fight. Honestly, I can't remember the last anthology I've read, but Randi skillfully wrote the short stories to get quickly to the point: the steamy sex scenes, and yet these scenes don't feel random or emotionless. Each story leaves us with a satisfying feeling at the end, the perfect mix of erotica and romance, indeed a very fun read. (less)

Liz is forty-six-year-old (which is a great change of pace for romance novels) but exploring for the first time her sexuality and falling in love with a man who seems to be the epitome of maddening. Jessica’s reality: fame and money abound is weaved so flawlessly with her wish to have her love reciprocated that, as a woman, is impossible to not relate to her in the most fundamental way. As in many love relationships, assumptions take precedence over dialogue, because love can sometimes feel like walking on an icy lake at the end of winter, but in “Infamous” it makes the reader connect with Jessica and Morgan’s struggles to “make it right” even more. He might not sport cowboy hat and boots, but he’s a strong and caring man who knows how to love and protect his woman—even if he hasn’t himself realized that yet. Kathleen and Jackson find themselves in a romantic trap, but Kristina Knight’s sexy and sassy storytelling will guide them through it all and leave us wanting more.(less)
