It has the best classic ghost stories and investigations of Holzer's career. It's also so big, bulky, and heavy that it could double as a murder weapon.(less)

I bought it twice for a song, lent it to "friends", who never returned it. Found it on eBay about a year ago, and I will NEVER part with it again! It's on my night stand, and I read it nearly every night, scaring myself silly.
This book describes in detail some of the most unusual and scariest ghost legends from the UK. I'm partial to "Pearlin Jean of Allanbank", "The Screaming Skulls of Calgarth Hall", "The Veiled Ghost of Highgate", "The Phantom Drummer of Cortachy", "The Creeping Hand of Maida Vale", "The House In Berkeley Square". Another story that inspired a horror short story of my own is "The Fatal Phantom of Eringle Traugh". I highly recommend this book - if you can find it.(less)
