This book was the 3rd book in the series and I don't think it was that great. The first 2 books made me keep wanting to read the series but now I don't know if I should read the last one after this book. Anyway, this book wasn't horrible, it just wasn't a book for me. There would be some parts were it was boring and I just wanted to stop reading, but I would keep reading to the better parts of the book. Border Town is a good series but the 3rd book might make you not want to read the last book like me. The author had a pretty good plot and some good discriptions of things but overall I think it was an ok book. I gave this book 3 stars, because the author did a nice job writing it but there were some parts that weren't the greatest things that I thought could have been a little better, then how she had it. Falling Too Fast was just a good, somewhat easy book to read....more

It was just one normal day, until Melondee goes up the Fabi and starts to tell her about, how she is having a and how Fabi isn't having one, becuase her family is stupid and poor. Alexis (Fabi's younger sister) and Fabi's friend Milo, tell Melondee is having a and that Fabi's will be a way better party then her's. Melondee doesn't believe that so she says that her's will be way better. Melondee comes up with a bet and Alexis and Milo agree to it, when Fabi is telling them no. With a cute boy and a lot of problems, Fabi doesn't know if this was the right thing to do. Can Fabi have it all?
This book was pretty good. It had an interesting plot to it and it had good discriptions. I like Fabi's character a lot, she reminds me a little like me at times. Throughout this book I felt really bad for Fabi, she went through some really hard times. I think Fabi is a strong, amazing women. I would recommend this book to people who like drama types of books. There is a lot of drama in this book of the series. I gave this book 4 stars, becuase i thought the author did a good job writing it, but there were some parts the were so so. Just overall, I really enjoyed this book....more

She made an international team and has been seen by the whole world. The people from the Olympics wanted her to try out for them and she made it. Shawn had made her dreams come true.
I loved this book a lot. Shawn Johnson is now one of my role models, she is really inspiring and I just really liked what she did to achive her dream. Shawn would write poems and I really enjoyed them a lot. Through Shawn's life she never gave up and that is one of the things that I really enjoy/like about her. It has always been my dream to play basketball for OSU and then play professional and then play on the Olympics USA team. If I work hard everyday like Shawn maybe I could do it. This book has just inspired me so much and in so many different ways....more

This book is about Helen Keller and how she lived her life while being blind and deafHelen Keller: Rebellious Spirit By Laurie Lawlor Biography 168 pages
This book is about Helen Keller and how she lived her life while being blind and deaf. Helen was a good girl and she was very smart. Her teacher Annie, taught her everything she knew. Annie taught Helen how to read and write. Annie would make hand symbols into Helen's hand, that is how Helen could communicate with people. If someone would ask Helen a question that's what Annie would do. Helen wasn't always very polite at times. Helen would have tantrums, so she would run around the house crazy, throw things, and just be really mad. Helen got much better with things as she grew older. She want to a good collage and just had a great life.
I thought this book was good. I couldn't believe someone could survive while being deaf and blind. Helen Keller is a good role model. She did what people thought she couldn't do. Helen was a great person and I thought its was cool that when she was little, like the entire country knew who she was, she was famous. I thought the author did a great job of retelling Helen Keller's life. Helen might have not been able to really see or hear but she was a amazing person to be like (just not the crazy parts). I think whoever wants a good nonfiction book to read that they should read this book, because Helen Keller is a great role model and she did many good things....more

I thought this book was really good. The author had many great details in this book and had a great plot. I'm usually not a big fan of historical books but I thought this one was fantastic. I rated this book 4 stars because it was great. I liked the book talking about the Japanese war and how this book/ the author really made me feel like I was there at the time with the characters trying to escape and get out of there. Elephant run was not a fast read for me but the days that I took spending my time to read this book was awesome. I'm glad I picked out this book and read it. This book is about a girl named Cassie Bernall. There were two boys at her school that decided that they wanted to kill people. They ran around the school, going in different rooms and shooting people. This tragedy happened in Littleton, Colorado. The day began like it was just a normal day for Cassie and her family. Late afternoon, Cassie's mother got a phone call saying, "Did you hear about the shooting at the high school." She said no and then hung up and called her husbend. He hadn't heard about it either. Cassie's dad went to the high school. Many police cars were there. After awhile he found his son, he wasn't hurt. Later, Cassie's mom came and they were all at the high school, waiting for any sign of Cassie. It was 8 o'clock p.m., they were back at there house and stil nothing about Cassie. Her mother was hoping she was still alivem, but in her mind didn't think she was. Later, they found out she was gone. She had a gun shot to her head, one of the guys had killed her. Before she was shot, a boy in the room heard one of the guys ask her, "Do you believe in god?" Cassie said yes and after a moment, she was gone.
Oh, my! I have so much to say about this book. One, that this was one of the saddest books I have ever read. I can't believe someone would do this to people, with futures ahead of them. This story takes me back to a month ago, when the tragity happened at the Sandyhook elementary school. That was so sad and the news stations kept playing things on the television about it and I was just like, "can we watch something else?" It was just too sad and I just couldn't watch it. Anyway, I thought this book was well done. Cassie seemed like an amazing girl and had a great family there for her. I know many people probably wouldn't want to read this book because it's depressing, but if you have the time, sit down and read this book....more

This book about Benjamin Franklin, is about 10 days in his, 30,761 days life that changed are world. A couple of the days tied together about him making electricity. If it weren't for him, making this and figuring out how to make electricity, then we might not be to were we are today. In this book, it just explains why/how Ben Franklin changed are world, or who knows where we would be today.
This book wasn't the best. I dont like nonfiction books very much, but the ones that are about resent people, I sort of like, but the ones that are for the past, I dont like. I really just dont like the form mat of this book, because it just talks about 10 days in their life, it doesn't reallt talk about their whole life or a big whole part, it talks about many parts at different times. But, I would recommoned this book to people who like history and like to know sertain days that changed the world that Ben Franklin did in his life....more

This story is about two girls who are conjoined twins. Rose and Rudy are connected at the head. Their nickname is "the girls". Rose and Rudy are almost 30 years old. They will soon be one of the oldest conjoined twins ever in their time (1900s). Since this is happening, Rose wants to write a story about themselves and their lives together. When Rose is writing her story, Rudy then wants to write/tell her side of the story or her side of their life together.
This story, The Girls, isent the best book ever, but it was still pretty good. The author had many great details in this story. I like the concept and the plot line to the story. I also learn many things about conjoined twins. I didn't know much about them but I do now. I recommend this book to people who want to learn about people who look different then us and how they have to live like that. If I was a conjoined twin, I don't know how I would surive like that, and for them to get to 30, that's awesome. I hope for whoever reads this book to enjoy and learn as much as I did....more
