first off (view spoiler)[WHY DID REN HAVE TO DIE?!!!!!!!! (hide spoiler)] I wasn't really on team Ren (I wasn't even on team Shay)but he was a seriously main character and he dies off a few chapters away from the end. I was seriously hoping for a Disney moment with him coming back to life (no matter how cheesy that sounds I want him alive!)but of course that wasn't gonna happen to me it just seems like an easy way for the author to break the love triangle. "Rens dead so I guess I have to go with Shay" (Calla wasn't exactly lie that but you get the point)
The other thing is the fact that they go through all that hardcore stuff and what do they get? They get the stay as wolves for the rest of their lifes -___-
Like I said I loved the series until the ending. I was actually going to buy the whole series for my own library but now I can't even think about rereading the series. the ending just ruined it for me

TRANSLATION: This book is awesomer than cheese (which means that it is insanely awesome considering that cheese is pretty awesome) I absolutely LOVE this series! XD I devoured this book in about a day (metaphorically of course since it's not really cheese). I would of fished it sooner if it wasn't for something called school (Am I the only one who finds it ironic that teachers hate it when you're reading a book in class?) Well anyhow... It's strangely interesting that in the 1st book the love triangle is introduced DUN DUN DUN!And in book numeral dos we have the focus on guy number one (Derek)and guy number two (Lucas) is just off in the sidelines. In book 3 we have the focus on Lucas while we don't here very much of Derek. I wonder how book 4 will play out.... Hmmmmmmmmmm.... Then we have the ghost. I figured that the ghost was actually Kylie's grandmother Not too long after the whole ghost was pregnant revelation the lightbulb went DING! I know some of you may think i'm lying about this but I am being entirely truthful. Although I did not guess about the whole real grandparents visiting (but I should get some points for the grandma thing). I did also guess about the whole grandma getting killed by testing but that was an easy one. I kinda wanted to slap Kylie for the fact that she didn't figure it out right away. Now with the identity thing.... I understand that chameleon is just a name but... She better not be an actual lizard! That would just be creepy on many levels! I don't think shes really a lizard but still! And by the way does the picture of her (like the face on the 1st book) remind you of a lizard. It does to me but the may be because of the whole chameleon thing (I didn't notice it until after I saw 'lizard'in the book). And the ending! WHY MUST THERE BE A CLIFFHANGER! I HATE CLIFFHANGERS It's numeral uno for my list of pet peeves I NEED TO KNOW WHO THE GHOST WAS! I NEED IT MORE THAN WATER! I NEED IT MORE THAN SHELTER! I NEED IT MORE THAN CHEESE!!! Okay maybe not that much but the point is.... I NEED TO KNOW! I read the excerpt at the back at the book and it doesn't say anything! Nothing. Nadda. Nyet. *Looks at the sky and raises arms* WHY WORLD?! WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME SO?! *cries*
I apologize to the few of you who read this for wasting precious moments of your time ...more
REVIEW FOR THE ACTUAL BOOK: This was an AMAZING end to the series! Yes, I said end! THIS IS THE LAST BOOK!!! Wait! No! Don't be sad! It was a satisfyingREVIEW FOR THE ACTUAL BOOK: This was an AMAZING end to the series! Yes, I said end! THIS IS THE LAST BOOK!!! Wait! No! Don't be sad! It was a satisfying ending, not one of those endings that make you go "OH MY CHEESE! What will happen next?! I NEED TO KNOW!!!!". Believe me I've read some of those "endings" to series and they did not make me happy! But this book? Again, it was satisfying! So I guess you wanna know about the book? Well... i'm not going to give things away but I will say this: -It's different than the other books in the series, but different in a good way. -Yes, there are some slow and boring parts but it all works out! -Did I say that it had a satisfying ending?
I know that some of you are going "grrrrrrrrrr! That's not a review! Where is the review?!" and I apologize for the crappiness that is "my review" but I am keeping my lips sealed on the happenings in this book! So if you wanna know what happens, you'll have to read the book yourself! *evil laughter*
Original "review": WHY WORLD? WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME WAIT SO LONG? AFTER AN ENDING LIKE THAT! WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME SO? I seriously need a time machine just so I can travel to the future and get this book. anyone with me?

This book gets the award for "The Book That Caused Me The Most Emotional Trauma"! In that case, this book made me so emotional, that I am incapable of forming a coherent review. Let's just say that this book definitely has all the feels.
BEFORE READING: ANOTHER EDIT: So I saw that Cassandra is writing a new series after this... (which I find slightly annoying since it seems that she can't write anything that is not about the shadowhunters) But anyway... The main characters last name is Carstairs!!! That's Jem's last name!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right! JEM IS GOING TO SURVIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In case you didn't realize yet... I really really want Jem to survive!
EDIT: THE COVER IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *screams of joy*
Original "review": Why does everyone seem to be on team Will? Am I the only one on team Jem? Don't get me wrong, they're both awesome, but if Tessa choose Will it would be a little bit too much like Jace in the mortal instruments. I was happy when Tessa and Jem were supposed to get married but I couldn't help feeling sorry for Will... I mean believing that everyone you love will die only to found out that the curse wasn't real and that the girl you love is going to marry your best friend That's harsh Just plain harsh
I would probably be okay if Will wins in the end (because like I said they're both awesome and that's also probably going to happen anyway) But there is also news that Jem might die in this book....
DON'T DIE, JEM! DON'T DIE! DON'T DIE! DON'T DIE!!!!! IF JEM DIES THERE WILL BE WORLD HUNGER! THE SUN WILL GO OUT! THE UNIVERSE WILL BLOW UP INTO BITS!!!! DO NOT DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
... Okay I'm calmer now
anyway... I absolutely hate it when a major character dies (who doesn't) There's another book series that I read with a love triangle where one of the guys died a few chapters from the end of the series just so Calla didn't have to choose between two guys!!!!!!!! I wasn't on either team in that series but I cried when he died because I thought both of the dudes as awesome. But now I hate myself for wasting my time with that book series, I realize that not all young adult books have good endings, and I want to stab Andrea Cremer with a frozen breadstick.
The moral of this story is... DO NOT BE ANDREA CREMER!!
I LOVE the Mortal Instruments but this one is blah compared to the other books :( The series could have ended in City of Glass since it was originallyI LOVE the Mortal Instruments but this one is blah compared to the other books :( The series could have ended in City of Glass since it was originally meant to be a trilogy I was actually confused when I finished City of Glass and realized that there was a 4th book I mean, Valentine is dead (usually when the evil guy dies it's the end of the series) and everyone was all happy and dandy But Cassandra wanted to continue the series This book was really boring and confusing compared to the other books Also this one focused on everyone's "love life" which is not something i'm a big fan on
*sighs* let's hope Lost Souls will be better...more
