Haven't had time to read for fun for a while, and I picked the right book to remind me, that good chick lits make you giggle out loud. For those who know Kinsella's books I found this to be a mix between "Can you keep a secret" with its amusingly embarrasing moments and "The Undomestic Goddess" with the main character's personal development.
I read the book in about 5 hours (fast reader). Perfect for holidays or a night on the couch. Read it if you love Kinsella's books, know you text too much, or are into the classic chick-lit/working girl novels.
Poppy is the main character of the book, and the books open up with her looking for her engagement ring, that she has misplaced at a hotel. In the process of trying to find it, she also loses her phone. But all hope is not lost, as she finds a mobile thrown out in a bin. It turns out to belong to the (former) PA of Sam Roxton, a top notch business-something (who cares, he's in top management and he's sorta hot). Poppy persuades Sam to let her keep the phone until the hotel staff finds her ring, by promising to forward all incoming mail and messages. Poppy loooooooves messaging. Sam not so much. So obviously Poppy decides to 'help' Sam by answering some of the mail, that she shouldn't be reading in the first place. Need I say more? (less)
