There is so much information in it - every page is full of facts that helps the reader to understand our mind better and how our brain works. I would recommend every CEO and project manager to read this book and share the knowledge with those below and just to create better and more productive environment at workplace. We live in the age of inforamation overload, and apparently, that's not doing good for our brain and our ability to process all these amounts of information. A must read!...more

Actually this far I've only written reviews for books that are somehow more special to me than others. And this is no exception. After reading this, I tend to agree to those who say that this is the best science fiction novel ever written. It was what made me read this book in the first place. And I wasn't disappointed in a least bit. This book maybe isn't as much science fiction as some others or as you would expect, but it's the overall atmosphere and philosophical aspect of the book that I liked the most. There are so many things you can learn from this book and many quotes to remember. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration".
No doubt, the best science fiction book ever written! (I haven't read many, but I can already tell that nothing can be better than this)...more

I find it impossible to rate at this moment. But I feel the need to write a review. First of all, this is a complicated book. I found it very hard to follow the plot. I barely got familiar with all the main characters, but this book is so dense, it has layers upon layers of complexity, seemingly neverending. However, if I would need to describe this book in one word it would be "interesting". And interesting for me is always positive. I feel like this book needs to be read multiple times to really get it. So after this first reading I don't feel like I have understood it properly. Which is also the reason why I'm not rating it yet. What else can I say? This book reminds me of "Ulysses' in it's scale and complexity, but more than that it reminded me of Burrough's "Naked Lunch", mostly due to all the obscenity in it. It didn't have as much sex as Naked Lunch, but some parts were even more obscene and one particular scene I even found disgusting. Yet, above everything else this book is about war. War is the main story line. And through all those dense layers of events and happenings, this book shows how pointless the war is, how harmful effect it has on society and people and how destructive it is.
This is how I understood the book after 1st reading it. ...more
