And Ian, is tempted, but he dose not fancy to get some decease. So they just observe the doings of their band members.
Then Jamie and Ian get a new assignment, to escort two young Jewish girls to Paris. But on their way it comes out, the girls have other plans. For a moment I thought that maybe it's a story that explains the head wound mystery, but this all happens way before that.
Nice short interlude to the books and to TV series. ...more

Ward version of Grey's Anatomy with vampires and other paranormal entities. :)
It's about Rhage (McDreamy) and Mary (Meridith). How V tells Rhage just minutes before battle with lesser's, that Rhage is going to die in this battle, and Rhage still runs head first into the battle and of course gets shot in heart. This happens within first twenty pages of the book, so do not be afraid Rhage will not die. Not jet anyway. When the dragon emerges they have to summon Mary to but him back into Rhage and that way they actually save Rhage's life.
Mary was with a young girl at the time, who had just lost her mother and Mary feels herself responsible for her. Mary and Rhage have had problems lately and after his close call with death Rhage realizes that what he actually misses (but doesn't hold it against Mary) is a young of his own. He as never really thought about it, but when Beth leaves him with L.W. for a while, he finds this empty place in his soul. So when Mary takes Rhage with her and Bitty to a outing, he starts to think about other possibilities to become a father.
Do you remember how in Lover at Last , all you could thin about was "Come on, kiss him already and tell him you love him!", well in this book it's "Come on, adopt her already! Get it over with and start living!" :)
AND, besides this adoption saga, there are a lot of people who need medical attention - Laila, Assail, Rhage, Marckus, Xcor. Some new characters arise and some lessers and vampires are annihilated. The future is still interesting and even thought next book is about Laila and Xcor, I'm still hoping there will be book for Assail and Marisol....more

The book is written like collection of memoirs by people who were closely connected with the King - his wife, servants, other persons close to the throne - and by King himself. This way the readers had possibility to see the events from many different angles. It was ruthless time and if somebody dared to claim the throne, they had to know that unless they where really tyrannic, they soon lost their life.

In this book we follow the second sister Ally. Her story is emotional roller coaster, while the ups are the moments when you cry or feel really depressed and down are the moments after the shocking moments, when another part of her story is slowly introduced to the readers. Some would say that the story is slow from time to time, and I would say that those slow moment are the ones when the readers are slowly taken to another gut wrenching moment.
The first shock is of course Pa Salt's passing and if you have read the first book - The Seven Sisters - then you already know it. But next one is really difficult and it is almost at the beginning of the story so you could easily think what's there more to come, if there is the worst possible moment when the story is just beginning. Well, as I already said, there are many ups and downs, Ally's predecessor didn't have a easy life.
When Ally starts to read the book about Anna, a girl who lived in Norway and becomes a famous opera singer, it's difficult to understand how is she related to Anna, but the more you read and every new person in her life gives you a better understanding, how Ally could be part of the story. She finds her roots and her family and the end could not be any better.
What I would want to know is how did Pa Salt find her, how was he connected to her parents? I do have couple of ideas, but I can not be sure, we'll see if the last book will reveal the story.
It's a really enrapturing story and I'm looking forward to the next book....more

This story reminded me a lot a movieWhile You Were Sleeping. A sweet story about how destiny likes to play with people, by locating them close to each other, but they themselves must take the last step. While reading it I was really thinking, would I be found just by the contest of my bag, if my wallet and phone are not there. Maybe, but probably not.
