Even though it says "How to move in with your boyfriend" it applies overall for any relationship - a man can read this as well and gain some knowledge on how to avoid some of the issues you can be presented with when taking the dive into living with each other.
The beginning has a very simple basics for whether or not you are ready to move in with each other and then the following chapters discuss things that may or may not happen while you do live together.
I definitely like how she speaks about sharing responsibility and doesn't blame either party too much with the anecdotal stories which is something you don't find much with books on relationships - generally they shove the blame on one gender or another so it's refreshing.
The little checklists and quizzes through out the book are quick and easy and help break the whole moving in process down to a very simple process which could help a lot of people especially under the stress of being freshly moved in or when one or the other pops the invitation.
Beyond the basic "oh you're moving in together - do this" some of the suggestions are things that most people wouldn't really think of but make a lot of sense - like in the beginning - keeping your apartment still if it doesn't work out.
I also like how the author doesn't claim to be a miracle worker and keeps a very realistic standpoint on if it works it does if it doesn't it doesn't.(less)

It held my interest for the most part but some of the family members who "wrote" in the book tended to be too monotonous and go on and on about details that don't really seem to matter - though luckily these family members in the book are few; but I still have to dock a few stars for it.
There's a LOT of beer and some banking in this book - the beer stories are generally a lot funnier than the other parts; it's got a good mix of stories in it for each chapter - some humor, some tragic, some romance - it's kind of all over the place so for some people it might be hard to keep up with the pacing and constant change that goes on from character to character.
Otherwise it's a pretty good book and the stories are interesting to say the least.(less)
It's a no-nonsense guide to getting in shape and losing a few pounds.

Luc is a very straight to the point guy and he points out that it's not necessary to go for the fad diets and it's better to do things based on your own experience and what works for you. He seems to understand that everyone has different bodies and different goals in mind when it comes to health and fitness and it's a refreshing view on how to get off of your ass and get things done.
From lazy guy who is chubby and drinks a lot to a guy who finishes a marathon - The Drunk Diet is a great memoir of a journey towards health and feeling better on the insider as well as out.
I particularly like how he will give tips about exercising and eating but he doesn't force them upon you - he doesn't say "YOU MUST EAT UNDER THIS # of CARBS A DAY" which is what you see in a lot of the other food and fitness books.
It's a story of inspiration - kind of like the first stepping stone; he helps you get the motivation you need to take that first step outside and off of your couch.
I also liked that there's included recipes at the back which are very easy and anyone who can boil water can make them.(less)
