I felt like it took too long to build up to the real conflict of the book. Then the end didn't, but kind of did leave you hanging. I guess that doesn't make sense except I felt the ending was rushed after all of the build up. It was kind of how I felt at the end of the third Hunger Games book. Overall though I liked it and will definitely pick up the next one.
Oh and I listened to the audiobook and I LOVED the voice of Grace. I am not sure why, but it was perfect. (less)

I think it is the only 5star book I have read in a long time. I have always been a fan of Eloisa James, but I think I found two more authors to love. I loved all of the characters in all 3 stories and felt like I was getting 3 for the price of 1. My least favorite was the first story, but she had to set everything up for the whole book as well. I felt like she spent too much time doing that and needed more time on the relationship. However, it was still very good. I highly recommend for anyone who likes historical romances. (less)

I was amazed at the number of voices the reader(?) could do and how subtle they were. I definitely want to read the third book of this trilogy. I think that it is going to be the best one.(less)

The first coup,e I read in the series were good but the conflict seemed silly and forced. I really loved the premise of this book and thought it was well done and interesting. It didn't feel as "hokey" as others of her have. I will definitely continue with the series. She introduced a ton of new and really interesting characters in this book. So there are a lot of options for her next book and I can't wait to see who it's about. (less)

Sometimes they come across a little...I don't know the word for it...maybe immature or the conflict that happens is just so ridiculous. This was probably the LEAST ridiculous one that the conflict seemed very feasible and realistic. I will continue with the series, but I definitely won't be reading them all in a row. They are fun, easy reads with a good romance factor. I hope the next book in the series is about Vincent. (less)

I know that Lore was kind of a bad guy but I was still able to empathize with him. He did everything for his sister Sin and so they could be free. I enjoyed the story of him and Idess because even though they were completely different they were both so lonely and needed someone in their life. I hope the next one is about Sin!(less)

This one was definitely my favorite of the series so far. After I read the first book of the series I wasn't feeling like I HAD to continue with the series. But now, since reading the third one I can't wait to get to the fourth! I loved the story of Wraith and Serena, but this was like getting a two for one because in the background you also had the story of Kynan and Gem. I am excited to read more about them and see how their story plays out. (less)

I knew after Larkin talked to Morrigan on the battlefield that Cian would be turned human again. But since the story was so much more than that it didn't take away from the excitement or my engagement. All the books in the series led up to the battle at the end of this book and NR did not disappoint. I love that Blair killed Lora and Cian killed Lilith and then Hoyt and Glenna battled Midir. This was definitely a classic story of good triumphs over evil and love conquers all, but with many different twists and turns. It has been a while since I have read anything by Nora Roberts and as always she did not disappoint. She really has a way about writing such a compelling and passionate love story that I can't put into words here. I definitely won't wait as long again to start another of her series. (less)

I think I might be a little burnt out after 19 of these!! I really hope that she will wrap it up with 20 and we get some resolution on the whole Morelli versus Ranger drama. I will definitely read the next one, but after that I may not continue. (less)
