Quickly let's recap pros: Very addicting, vivid world and varied characters, book deserves 2/3 stars, but I'll give it 5, just for being enjoyable (I did same thing with Divergent)!
Ok, there's some massive Cons... One just bugged me through entire series The assassin and other most foulest outlaws in the competition don't act like they're... The thing they are... Ok... Here it comes -Main hero throws a flowerpot at ladies, flowerpot! (Assassins don't throws flowerpots) -Assassin saves puppy (assassins are careless about death, that's why they are assassins) -Assassins work fair and don't kill each other (in bloodshed competition) -Assassins don't wonder about boyfriends -Assassins don't work for evil king or are kept in castle (if Celaena could nearly escape prison of Endovier, why shy didn't even tried to escape from castle, I mean, she hates king, king hates her, she wants to be free but has to work for the king for 4 years, come on, king can kill you in the process of those 4 years) -Assassins kill people they don't like (she is afraid of a king) -Assassins don't worry about dress or nice look -Celeana, most feared outlaw in the country, doesn't show her brutal nature at all, I mean, she only things "Uh, I can snap him in half", but just stays in place, that's both unnatural and annoying (look at Katsa from Graceling, the concept similar, young female assassin, but she's way more aggressive, feared and working than Celeana, although I disliked Graceling as a book, it had similar concept and was more developed and natural, but less enjoyable) - Add the fact that she's arrogant about things she doesn't do (kill) -Celeana and Katniss face off. Most feared girl in Fantasy kingdom dies within few seconds (not badass enough!) Other weird stuff -Only Celeana (no, not really) is strong and warrior like, other female characters are very, very, very stereotypical and weak (apart from Nehemia, she's original and fun to read about) - Cain... What a shallow antagonist - Love triangle (still, better than Hunger Games, we get to know Chaol and Prince) - If king is so evil why does he send the failed champion back to the prisons etc, why not to recruit them (better more Assassin than one), or execute them (what's the use of them sticking in the kingdom?) -entire competition seemed a bit daft and rigid (why won't he set: hey, first one to butcher Ellywel rebels wins!) -weirdest love ever, first Celeana doesn't feel anything to anyone, then she likes Dorian, then they re together, (Spoiler) (SPOILER) and then they break up (because she's Champion. I mean, why she even started that, she knew winning would let her be a champion, and losing would get her back to Endovier, what's the use if sooner or later they would have to stop their relationship, literally, "I am a champion we have to break up", "I knuuuuw, Celeana, I betted you would be oneee!", "Meh too Dorian, Meh too!", "Why u don't want to be tugheter now?", "Cuz I won", "You knew you would wuuun!", "Derp", "Derp" (that was what I had read... In my head...) (SPOILER END)(SPOILER END SPOILER END) -Everybody in this ancient kingdom is young and handsome and talented. -Where's the action I used to know (from this epic cover)
But, I don't give stars for style, characters, reality or message (even when I should), but for enjoyability, which was surely there and I was into this weird, not normal, straight forward plot and those fake, forced characters and this flat world! No really, it's a good and fun read, easy to read and easy to enjoy. Quickly and fluently moves, even when some shaky bits are as sharp as swords, it's a quick, thrilling read! I am looking forwards reading additional novellas and plan to buy sequel *squeee*

Goodness, that final was really good. I just love the concept of Deryn and Alek working together in zoo, alongside Dr Barlow. Awwwww. The best thing
